Yes I do. So thanks. And although this has even less to do with the US election than the previous subject can I urge every man to take this seriously. If you find yourself having to pee several times during the night, or your flow is slow, go get a PSA check. It's simple, quick and done early can save your life. In fact go and ask anyway! They don't yet do them as a routine yet but that will happen. Edited by Wisbech Eagle (26 Nov 2020 10.16am)

All the best wissie. Thanks. I've always aimed to be the first man in history to reach 150. I also planned my death at that time. Which was to be shot by a jealous husband. I have had to reluctantly revise that down a little. It's now 125 and dying in bed as a consequence of being asphyxiated between two enthusiastic women. One leaning to the left, the other to the right. As always I am in the middle.

Those who harbour ideas that the republicans can come back and win in 2024 or later aren't being realistic. Trump pandered to minority demographics but only moved the needle a little. People talk about the Hispanic vote but really they mean the Cubans, who are traditional and dislike socialism for historical reasons. The stark reality are that demographics will make a republican presidency impossible. The republicans would have to do a Tory number and move significantly to the left....where like the British Tories they are only conservative in name only. Here is why....If Biden takes over his administration is going to push for amnesty to just about all illegals, which would probably result in over ten million new voters come the next election.....Conservatism has nothing to offer these groups....it basically closes the argument. The only way conservatism survives long term in the US is with separation. Edited by Stirlingsays (26 Nov 2020 9.33am) I applaud your ability to think outside the box in attempting to find a solution here, Stirling.

I think the separation, if and when it comes, will be much more political in nature and along non reconcilable differences on several amendments....rejection of socialism and social liberalism. Essentially unless they do separate I can't see how conservatism survives in the US. Still, I agree....this wouldn't be easy nor pleasant and while I think it's inevitable in some form, I could be wrong of course. In terms of race, even most of the dissident right in the US, which can be far closer to the knuckle don't politically reject the Candice Owens or Thomas Sowells of the world....if you are a traditionalist and/so social conservative your race isn't going to factor into a split....pretty much the same with your creed, though obviously the requirement to be pro Christian or at least culturally accepting of it will matter.

I just want to say to Wisbech - all the best with the illness. Fingers crossed you will recover. We may not always agree, but we can agree with the camaraderie of Palace fans. We need all the fans we can get!

I'm aware that politics play an important role in helping certain individuals express themselves (especially on these boards!) but I'm convinced in the not too distant future, these people will see the world differently.

Sounds interesting. Do you think it's going to be a form of corpocracy? (some would argue it partly is already) The corporation idea is an extension of how globalism has been moving for decades now....speeded up by social media. However, while SW19 had some interesting thoughts and links on this I think it's a very 'European' concept that will have issues elsewhere on the planet. Even here the corporations are going to be challenged by technological developments such as 3D printing and automation which can also be used to work against them.
