Fair play for turning this into a post about the EU, who incidentally do far more by the way of environmental policies in the UK than our own government. Also, if you think we’ll stop building on green belt when we leave the EU, you’re dreaming. Also, we entirely have the power whilst remaining in the EU to tighten our immigration policies - our government never did it. All in all, this post is Brexit in a nutshell; Truth and accuracy need not apply. We could control the number of non EU migrants but that means setting a higher entry bar for them whilst no bar for EU citizens. We can deport EU citizens who have been here for more than 3 months and haven't found work but that is hardly a practical solution. It is more cost effective to control who comes to your country in the first place. With regard to the environment you have a point and my response is that once we have left the EU if the public want to vote for an ER government so be it. I'll just get my horse and cart.

'We have a govt which has broken its central promise; an opposition which does not want an election to make them pay for it; two anti Brexit parties offering to break the deadlock in a way that could enable Brexit; & an EU which cannot do anything about any of it.' An amusing summary. Corbyn just needs to deal with it and support an election, lose, and let someone else have a go.

The Government hasn't been able to carry through its promise through because of the Brexit Blockers.

Government loses vote for a GE. Shamefully Labour, remember them desperate to recall Parliament to debate Brexit, not only did they abstain they didn't even bother to turn up. Disgraceful that Parliament was only half full and the official opposition didn't have an opinion on whether we should have a GE. Government will try again tomorrow.

Just listening to the SNP "Boris Johnson can't be trusted he said we would leave on Oct 31 and we're not". Doh we're not leaving because the SNP and others voted against it. Johnson didn't lie about this he lost the vote that's not lying.
