I know of a person employed by a U.K. lobbying organisation funded by the government, furloughed with pay made up to full salary with this organisation aware and allowing this person to work full time elsewhere during the furlough scheme. The public sector and organisations operating on other people’s money or tax money work to a completely different rule book. I’m not saying which organisation but you’ll all have heard of it and know or have an idea of what they do, or don’t do. Good luck to the person but I question tax funded organisations when they sign this off. What else do they happily let go or sign off that the private sector doesn’t? There’s more irony in this but I won’t go into it.

Aproros the 'Lockdown' it is patently obvious that restrictions will not be lifted for at least 3 weeks. There are 'Hawks' in the Cabinet who want some restrictions to be eased on 6 May whilst the 'Doves' would like a continuation of the current 'Lockdown' until 26 May.France have announced that their current 'Lockdown' will continue until at least 11 May.

Anyone got any good links to European country graphs of deaths, or better, daily deaths for those bell curves? Italy are beginning to open shops. Bars in France are closed until July.

There was an article recently about a university lecturer one of the Brighton ones who was convicted of assaulting a police officer this was her third serious offence spanning several years since she took the job. The response of the university was that they were aware of the situation. I worked for one of the big bad banks the left hate so much I would have been sacked after the first offence let alone 3rd the public sector seems to have different rules. Edited by Badger11 (14 Apr 2020 9.22am) I don’t think you can lump all public sector in the same basket. In my old department you had to divulge any issues you had with the authorities. A colleague was sacked for not divulging a drink/drive conviction,
