This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle According to the media we have made a bid of £10m to Norwich for Max Aarons which is under half of what Norwich value him at. We really can't complain about Arsenal's tactics if we are doing the same things ourselves

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle We had better not screw this up. Pay £20m for Aarons, pay £25m for Saint Maximin if we rate them and then we have those two positions covered. If we then get £80m for Zaha, we can afford a new striker and creative midfielder and Bob's your uncle, Fanny's your aunt, we have a stronger squad. As well as pocketing several million quid in the bank. Unfortunately you know its going to be Jenkinson right back and a striker on loan and that will be your lot. Still, we live in hope. As much as it pains me to say it, this window dictates whether I buy a rather expensive season ticket in Speronis or I just stay at home and stream it every week. As much as I love Palace, I'm not forking out £4k to watch a bang average second string 11 playing Roy's counter attacking football minus a counter attacking threat week in week out. I will always support Palace but sometimes you have to vote with your feet.

I think you’ve either misunderstood him, didn’t read it, or couldn’t miss the opportunity to have a dig. If 45 million is all Arsenal have got then we should take it to get rid of an unhappy player... How else can it be taken? It's a mad thing to come out with and I'm glad he's not in charge of Palace.

Glad you're not running the club. Another post straight from the football manager 2019 game handbook. I've only got £20, so should they take that for him? He's worth at least £60million, if they've not got it tough s***. I do believe that when the English say 'a little more' they actually mean 'quite probably a whole heap more'. So re-stating Neillo's post with different punctuation and the above change: ''So let's just try to screw every last pound out of Arsenal who - as I suspected - have sh*tloads more than £45m as their summer budget.'' I think you've misread Neillo's post. He was saying he is pretty sure Arsenal have much more than the £45m they are circulating available to them and we should screw them for as much money as possible. I don't think anyone is saying we should accept £45m for him. If he really wants to leave and is threatening, as reported, that he will go on strike or refuse to play, it is inevitable that we will have to find a solution. I'm not sure the rules about withholding his pay if he refuses to play and it also seems like cutting our nose off to spite our face by 'letting him rot in the reserves' as some have suggested. That doesn't help anyone, particularly the club. In an ideal world he would stay but that is looking less likely. Our biggest hope now is one or two more clubs come in for him and force one of their hands into a much larger offer that suits us.

You waste your time with that superior attitude. Be sure of that. As I've said before. Show me these signings before we part with our best ever players. I suspect that even with the sale of AWB and Zaha, Parish would still do very little in the market and wait and see how we were in January. I see more loans coming in. Ha ha loans are what you want the club to survive on until we get new investors, whenever that is. Could be after Wilf retires.

Ha ha loans are what you want the club to survive on until we get new investors, whenever that is. Could be after Wilf retires. Better loans of good players than paying for crap. It is, one has to admit, a rather depressing realisation that we have hit our ceiling. Money, and lots of it, is the only cure, as remote or realistic as that proves to be.
