benteke was arguably motm for us today, he linked play well & yes, he didnt score but last 2 & half games has looked a different player, a decent player, it just goes to show what decent minutes on the pitch can do. also ayew looks better out wide with him not being the focal point. we lost today (very much against the run of play) but i will say that the front 3 of wilf benteke ayew looks very promising, and actually coherent. A different player? He still looks s***e to me. The bar has been set so ridiculously low for Benteke that anything looks like an improvement.

I agree with you on this. Himself and Tomkins were our 2 best players today.

Personally I thought Tekkers did well yesterday. At one point he picked the ball up and drove past his marker towards their penalty area. He also did some good layoffs and won a lot in the air. He wasn't a beast, but to say he was useless seems way off the mark to me. He worked a lot harder than Wilf and looks like he's really trying. Still lacks composure in front of goal though, which is something we really need from one of our forwards. For me he is no longer a top player, but he's adequate backup for a better one...now we just need to sign that better one!

I thought he played well yesterday. He did ok against Brighton. But he can't score goals and that is his job. We need to move him on.

All this "holds the ball up well" is an absolute joke. He has one main job to do and that's how he will be judged. Benteke should have been loaned out to the championship a year a go and not use palace premier league time to try and improve his game.

He should be out and Ayew back in the middle as soon as injuries permit IMO.
