I am far from glued to this site believe me. I have loads of other things I do. I type quickly and multi task while on here. Of course I accept the reality of the way things are in most of the "safe" constituencies. It is though more interesting at the moment, where far fewer really are "safe", so my hope is that the strength of individual candidates is going to make a difference. Rather than the relative strengths of candidates this looks more like a defence of identity politics.

Here we go again with yet more subtle insults If you prefer the more overt, how about that's bordering on pathetic? (More an observation than an insult really, but seems offence is at turns taken incredibly and bizarrely inconsistently easily by some when the mood suits.)

Surely a candidate can show their strength in a variety of ways, not least by showing concern and understanding for all groups rather than those most like themselves. I think the next GE will be interesting to observe how individual candidates reach out beyond the party machines via local TV appearances and social media. Of course they will be obliged to tread the party line, but there are opportunities beyond that. The LibDems are already very active here and must see this constituency as a winnable one. They are as much promoting the individual and her attitudes and interests as party policy. No-one else has yet been seen.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

Because some of the biggest boneheads in the HoC are there because of who they are rather than what they represent.

Interesting that despite several people having a dig at Wisbech for his subtle insults that you only pick mine for your "pathetic" comment. Surely it's nothing to do with the many yellow cards that I've given you for your continued insulting ways on this forum?

Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons. |

It's Deja Vue all over again. It seems like Parliament won't vote for Johnson's GE after all. Put a microphone in front of Labour or the SNP and they won't shut up about how bad this government is and we need a change, that is until you say okay lets have a GE then they start waffling. Hearing their excuses as to why they can't vote for a GE is pathetic. So yet again Parliament is against everything and for nothing. Roll on November 5

Really? I thought that the moderating was so light touch as to be almost invisible with most insults whether overt or covert being ignored by the moderators and the only yellow card issued in the last few months being several weeks ago

Maybe we need VAR. Moderators should rotate it is not a job for life. Also moderators should not post their views with the threat of banning people like pussay patrol who should be welcome to their view.
