I think most will get their wish and there will be a change at the end of the season but the bigger worry is squad quality and depth. We've two that are top ten level and a decent goalkeeper.

The stars align evermore for Dyche to take over. He offers 3 or 4 years of low-budget staying up and doesn't seem happy at Burnley. Their finances, according to another post on here, also appear in a sub-ideal way. I will be amazed if it's anyone else. This summer seems natural.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

I've long been of the opinion that we should dispense with Roy but, unfortunately, have also long been of the opinion that the board will award him a new contract. We're basically safe with nearly half the season left, there's no way they're not going to try and keep him even if we do play the worst brand of football in the league. There's no fan pressure against any of them at the moment either so they can do it knowing full well the only backlash will be online for a few days before it dies down.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

I feel the club are drifting, they need to make a decision, either Roy stays next year, if not, i feel that they should, if possible appoint a new manager now, a new man should be able to navigate us to safety, whilst at the same time getting to know the squad, including academy, and has an early chance to look for replacements, if we wait till the end of the season decisions will have to be made in haste, Eddie Howe is available

Not the worst option out there - an authoritative Manager who may see Palace for the promising opportunity it offers - we do have things to be optimistic about (if not distracted by the dross performances of late). I’m hoping he’d be able to develop/improve players the way he has at Burnley. I’m not so sure about style of play - but will be happy to be proved wrong.

Parrish has no real ambition as he has no money. So it is find a man who will finish 13th-16th each season. He has had that man in Roy and will have him in Dyche. And so it will continue while Parrish is Chairman.

This is driving me nuts, can fans not see as Painter wrote ..that even with another manager in charge we'd be in exactly the same position!!

That's incorrect, that is just your opinion, others have differing opinions. There are many, many managers in world football, plenty would have got us relegated this season, or the last, or the one before that but equally there are also some who could get more effective results and performances out of this team. You seem to want to focus solely on the performances of the players/ state of the squad and not the manager's performance when it is not a case or one or another, they are both critical factors. Nobody has ever 'won football', no player, manager, chairman, team etc etc. It makes me laugh when people say 'I know more about football' or 'You clearly don't know anything about football', I dare anyone to define the parameters of what constitutes 'knowing more about football'. You're entitled to your opinion, as are others, doesn't make anything fact.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
