Ok, I'm going to stop replying to those I don't believe are interested in real debate. Trolling is fine but when it's all the time and those people support harming this site that's my cut off point. I'll be more selective over who I reply to from now on.

No offence is meant to Gusset's family, who I don't know and anyone trying to connect that comment, as being malicious, is themselves being malicious. I expressly talked about activism. Though I have severe issues with Gusset over what he has actually done, if he was offended by that comment and saw it as any connection to a family issue (even though he knows he shouldn't be on this site) He has my apologies, as it was not intended. That will be my last comment on that matter and I ask Peffers to stop posting to me as I will stop posting to him.

It was unthinking of Stirling to say what he did, but I am sure it was not done on purpose. Maybe he types a bit too quickly sometimes. Nick, as I recall Stirling said Africans had lower IQs not black people. And I have pointed out that race by race Africans do really well at school. According to Stirling that is because they get lots of remedial help. I am not convinced and as a regular user of psychological tests I have no real faith in IQ tests. They aren't a test of innate intelligence, they are deeply affected by life experiences. I too find this site especially unwelcoming towards the 'other', whatever that looks like. To the point of being aggressive and personal. But hey, I am just a snowflake (apparently). It's good to have you back, I don't always agree with you but it's nice to have someone to balance the extremes.

Obviously society is composed of intelligent people and less intelligent people. However access to the right cultural environment and education has a definite affect on these matters....how much so is a matter of debate even amongst the highest authorities in biological science (even though thanks to activists this is a career damaging area) I've stated many times that no one should feel negatively about their genetics. They had no choice in them good or less good and I've never suggested that lower IQ people be made to suffer for how nature has produced them. Indeed it's this knowledge that can help the powerful actually better tailor society to more effectively help them.....as like those deemed ugly they are punished for a situation they can't help. I disagree with you that it's right to say that IQ tests aren't a test of innate intelligence. There are several factors there that disprove that assertion. The non random correlation to higher economic success being one independent of the person's original economic status. Sure some tests are verbal and measure different forms of intelligence and it's also true to state that intelligence is nebulous and multi faceted. However, industry strongly disagrees with you Maple on this and for example institutions like the Army have much knowledge on the effectiveness of IQ tests.
