Seems he wasn't all that bad today. When you have a huge discord/distance from the attack to the midfield then it isn't surprising he and Ayew are isolated and struggling. Likes of Aguero might struggle in our present set up in midfield. Luka and JMac aren't going to provide. Coupled with his confidence being shot and you have problems. His best individual goal is against us for Villa.

I’ve kept my powder dry the last month or so because of some of the idiots on this forum, but anyone who thinks Benteke is even a half decent PL player needs serious therapy. He missed a header today that would have been meat and drink to him 5 years ago. He bottled numerous challenges and then gave needless fouls away. His reading of the game is terrible. He is s***e make no mistake, he actually makes Andy Carroll look reasonable and that is saying something. Sell him in January please.

On a PL contract, not a certain first team regular but still in the Belgium squad. Going to take somebody within the club to do a bit of contract management magic to get this deal done. Absolutely no idea why he is even in the squad. Utter dog Sh*t for 3 seasons. No wonder Wilf wants away from SE25, he gives 100% Tekkers takes 120 k a week for f all.

Benteke performance was not the utter pony we have become used to from him, but, it was nowhere near what you need, expect and demand from a highly paid PL striker. We don't create much and when we do it's wasted having him on the end of it.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

benteke was arguably motm for us today, he linked play well & yes, he didnt score but last 2 & half games has looked a different player, a decent player, it just goes to show what decent minutes on the pitch can do. also ayew looks better out wide with him not being the focal point. we lost today (very much against the run of play) but i will say that the front 3 of wilf benteke ayew looks very promising, and actually coherent.
