it makes you very suspicious of him

i thought the rumours of both Palace and Clowns withdrawing their offers due to a lack of decision were them trying to get out of an embarrassing situation of being rejected.

But maybe Howe was just waiting for the big money offer from Burnley and stringing us and clowns along. When these offers were off the table he had to go along with the pretence he wanted to stay, and now he's got what he wanted all along he's happy to shaft them

Now very glad he is nowhere near Palace, very sorry for the Cherries Fans, and very excited and happy to have Dougie in charge of our team, someone who genuinely cares about the club

When I saw the interview the other day Howe and the chairman something didn't seem right about it, sympathy to the Bournemouth fans, hope they still go up. So glad to have dougie, was watching the survivor video from 2001 earlier, weird that it was kember and dougie and now they have linked up again, maybe meant to be.

We are Staying up !!

I can see why he chose them once they came in. He clearly didn't want to join Charlton given that they are in direct competition with Bournemouth (and are a joke of a club, of course) and with us he has to consider where we are and what would be required. Perhaps it harsh to say he didn't have the stomach for the fight here - perhaps it was just that it was too big a risk.

I am not so sure that Burnley will be the right choice either. Yes they were in the top division last year, but that offers no financial guarantees in the long term and, as we know only too well, it can cause massive issues with overpaying both fees and wages as you panic to get back. The end result can be a fair period of struggle.

You have to feel that it is a little disrespectful to Bournemouth and I feel genuinely sorry for their supporters given the euphoria of him saying he was staying.

That's the modern game though.

The only reason he chose Burnley is because he wanted an easy ticket to the premiership

I still don't think they will go up. There are at least three better teams up at the top - QPR, Leeds, Norwich, Reading are extremely solid. I reckon they'll still be in the championship next season.

Well done Eddie Howe. Nice to see loyalty and lack of greed in today's mad avaricious football world.

Agreed........

If indeed, you had any intention of going to Palace, Charlton or whoever, and weren't just playing them to get a bigger contract at Bournemouth.

Thought I may have been a bit over cynical when posting this last Tuesday......

Obviously i wasn't.
