The LibDems have as clear a policy on the EU as Farage and the ERG have. Both the latter would have continued to campaign if the result has been to remain. In a democracy that's everyone's right, including the LibDems. You can use whatever language you wish. That's your right. It doesn't mean I have to agree with you.

A thought has just dawned on me: When Boris has to go and ask for a delay, he needs to give a reason. The reason, I suspect will be that he will ask for that to take place after the next GE so parliament has the power to vote through a deal with a meaningful vote. Given that Labour wont vote for an early GE, he may try and ask for a 3 year extension until the end of this fixed term. The EU will surely refuse which will give MP's the option of voting through this current deal, or no deal.

Only time will tell whether there are enough people of principle in her constituency to return her again. Yet again you are trying to imply that only your opinion is the one that matters which is of course more Wissy Bollox

Ha ha,you assume I read the "right wing press". Because they have said there isn't very quick to believe everything you want to ....

So next up Speaker Bercow. I hope that he allows the government to put forward its motion, he can refuse of course and cite precedent but as he likes to make new precedents he could allow it if he wished. If he doesn't I think this will show the country yet again that politicians are playing games with an incredibly important decision. This is an indicative vote it will not bind the house however it will tell us if Boris has the votes if he can't get them on this then he has no chance with the legislation. If Bercow refuses to allow it this is just another delay, a delay that Remainers may regret if the EU declines an extension and we run out of time they are the ones running the clock down. If the vote is allowed and Boris fails to win this actually helps the EU in deciding if and by how much they should give an extension. By blocking the vote the EU are left in the dark the same as the rest of us. If Boris wins the EU can hold fire and it maybe that as Oct 31 approaches Boris asks for a short extension as Parliament needs more time. Either way the EU will not thank Parliament for not voting and running the clock down. Still all to play for. Edited by Badger11 (21 Oct 2019 2.18pm) Edited by Badger11 (21 Oct 2019 2.19pm)

Johnsons deal unravelling as is his crookedness. Sajid Javid was responding to a letter from Commons Treasury Committee interim chairwoman Catherine McKinnell which asked whether the Treasury has updated economic analysis of Brexit. Following Mr Javid's letter, Ms McKinnell said: "The chancellor has acknowledged that the government’s previous economic analysis of a free trade agreement does not correspond to the agreement that the government will now be seeking. "The government, therefore, appears content that MPs be expected to vote blindly on its new deal. "The dearth of relevant economic analysis on which MPs can decide how to vote is deeply concerning."

As expected the public. Parliament and the EU are denied the chance to see if Boris has a deal that can pass. Carry on kicking the can down the road but one day the road will run out and then they'll be complaining we need more time.
