Did you not take in the quote I posted earlier ? Hodgson's role is about getting the best out of the players at his disposal. Some on here think he is, some don't. Anybody on a 12 month contract is hardly in a position to be the main driver for the direction of the club - which is Parish's responsibility in any case. I certainly agree that a gradual rebuild would have been the way to go, but as I have repeatedly said before, the club has been run through a short term lens when it comes to the first team squad. Now it's becoming a far bigger problem than it should have been. I garland these comments with praise.

Parish cannot let Roy wait until July before he makes his decision, it has to be made now, and if its a no he should go with immediate effect, how can players decide on signing a new contract without knowing, we are not going to get relegated this season, so we can replace Roy, and start building for next season
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

You would like to think so, so if that is the case has the new manager signed pre contract, and if so is involved with the contract expiry situation.

One thing for certain, If the crowds were allowed to attend games over the last few months, Roy would have been gone by now .

So you basically agree with me except that you consider Hodgson more a coach than a manager, that he has no responsibility other than coaching the first team and therefore Parish is more to blame than Hodgson. I would agree with you entirely if I thought another manager couldn’t do better than Hodgson with the current team, but as you say, some do and some don’t.

The position of Head Coach at this club is the sole responsibility of Parish, I for one am not expecting any change for the foreseeable future as it is normal on both transfers, contracts and appointments for Parish to make these within 24 hours of the new season starting. Hence the reason he pulled himself from "Dragons Den", he could not stand having to make a decision within the timeframe set by the programme!
