We have never been at the centre of Europe, politically, economically or geographically.

I once had the pleasure of a few minutes conversation with him and he was one of the most impressive people I have ever met. Definitely, the best PM we never had. I often wonder if we would be in the mess we are today if history had seen him occupy No 10 rather than Thatcher.

If he impressed you so much you need to get out more, and yes, I have met him also. Edited by HKOwen (19 Jun 2023 11.13am)
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Anyway, I thought we were talking about Corbyn. What evidence do you have that he personally hates Jews? When he was in local power, the evidence all pointed the other way. The anti semitism he allowed to flourish in the Labour party is enough for me. Anti semitism means prejudice or hostility not hatred FYI Edited by HKOwen (19 Jun 2023 11.17am)

He stabbed thatcher in the back and has caused been a big part of the infighting within the Tory Party. The sooner he out of the picture, the better.

If he didn't impress you then you must have an odd appreciation of people. Whether you like his politics or not he is a man who makes an impression.

He is a realist like me. He supported Thatcher whilst she was effective but not when she was losing her grip. He is largely out of the picture and there is no one approaching his stature in parliament these days.

It is a reality that ignores pandemics, wars, profiteering, supply issues, global economic instability, unsustainable mass migration, the distortion of egalitarianism and deliberate and constant attempts by globalists to wreck our future.

Subjective to how easily impressed you are as I said. It's well known the weak minded are easily star stuck when they meet someone who is relatively well known.

He is saying the UK economy cannot be successful outside of the single market and the customs union, the EU itself. What factors, what financial levers, could be employed to restore the economy to when we left the EU? You don't have to be an economist to see that we are in a jam and there is no way out.

However, there appears tacit acceptance that he is not an anti semite. Perhaps an unintentional anti semite facilitator!? This type of prejudice is rife at both ends of the political spectrum and always has been. Targeting Corbyn as representative of the hard left has a glass houses feel when spoken by posters from the hard right.
