Yup fair point but as I said earlier Labour has about 25 MPs who could lose their seats in a GE that is probably weeks away. Will they obey Corbyn and go down with the ship or will they think this is an opportunity to defy Corbyn and try and bring him down. The fallout will be interesting too!

Funny if Parliament reject it and the EU will not extend Yep - which is why I said ‘others’ That would be their ultimate comeuppance but can’t see it happening. Tusks confirmation more or less seals the extension card being played, as unpalatable as it may seem.
Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons. |

Have you read the new deal? What are your thoughts on it as you’ve read it? If you were an MP would you back it? Is it better than Mays deal? The EU have said it’s this or no deal which is interesting.

Just shut up. You talk utter bollocks. If anyone should shut up it would be you - how does any of your response add to the debate? The point about populism is pretty fair I reckon. When was the last time such a complex issue was reduced to a 'yes' or 'no' answer with a good outcome?

Just shut up. You talk utter bollocks. I don't know if you are being deliberately obtuse, along with being rude, or genuinely don't understand.
My point was about populism generally and not about the referendum in particular. It might have escaped your notice that the way we get our information these days is markedly different to the way we did even 10 years ago. You might think "so what", but it actually changes everything, as I pointed out and won't repeat. It's the primary reason why I don't believe in holding any referendums. I want us to choose who represents us and then let them do it. We make up our minds based on broad principles and general directions, so the impact of populism is somewhat more diluted in a GE though still very evident these days.

There’s a lot more concessions but there’s been movement on the Irish issue. It’s workable but it’s still not the Brexit the hardcore or the remainers want. There’s not a lot of detail so the fun times start if/when it gets through Parliament. (I think this one will)
