Why not? Asia is the growth area of the world's economy. My white neighbour's daughter is doing a business degree with a Chinese language module which makes sense if China is going to be come the biggest economy in the world soon. The point is that we have all the fuss about BAME going to university and this lot couldn't find one white person in a country that is still predominantly white. They are the ones that need to make the case to young people including whites that this is a great area for opportunities especially post Brexit. They are not doing their job properly and yet they are taking taxpayers money. I get your point, but before we start blaming the school maybe for balance we should find out how many actual white working class kids applied.

I don't think it's about white kids applying and being turned down. They are simply not applying and my guess is their reaction was the same as yours oh its Asian studies why do I care. It's the responsibility of the university to sell itself to students and clearly they are not doing a good job. I think this area is a fantastic growth opportunity as businesses will be crying out for people with language and cultural skills in Asian countries. Imagine if Oxford said "oh we don't have many black students as they don't apply".

Yes business schools and universities do a lot of advertising but this one probably isn’t or isn’t targeting correctly.

Sasha Johnson: Black equal rights activist in critical condition after being shot in the head in south London When I heard that this pleasant young lady who has it in for anyone other than her followers and activists, including Oxford professors going by videos of her berating polite people because they’re white, had been shot, I immediately thought oh no, maybe a warped far right individual has done it. Apparently not. She was caught in the crossfire of a disagreement during a party in Peckham. Now either she’s incredibly unlucky or she was hanging around with some dodgy people. As the police incident tent is in the back garden and not at the front it appears the latter. Note that all the news channels are mentioning she received death threats before immediately saying witnesses or something have hinted it was gang related. So nothing to do with death threats. But they mention them anyway. There is due to be a vigil for her. Possibly today. I don’t expect the same level of policing as the Clapham vigil, even though the unemployable crusty girls were there to stir up trouble. Reading the article I see Sasha Johnson studied social care (why is this a subject at Oxford University btw?) and did a lot for people in need and struggling, so she’s possibly good deep down and no doubt intelligent. Unfortunately somewhere she’s taken on this hostile and aggressive persona which made her relevant in 2020 but will ultimately not achieve the goals she thinks should happen, and will be a problem for realistic changes many would think should have been happening anyway. But that’s the life of an activist when you take it up full time. Instead of being being dedicated to social work she’s been prepared to go to war, even if it’s not the best strategy.

Has there been front page coverage over the murder of Cash Gernon? A four year old white toddler murdered by a black criminal the other week? Home security video shows this human filth taking the sleeping boy from his crib after breaking into the house....he was found hours later dead from stab wounds and reportedly with bites on his face. 4 years old....don't look for and watch the video...I want to rip this guy's heart out. If the races had been reversed there would be front page coverage shouting about racism and riots and protests in the streets. Whole organisations are funded and set up for it. Instead....minimal reporting, minimalised reactions and no accusations....no riots, no protests. Wrong race. Edited by Stirlingsays (24 May 2021 8.17pm)

That kind of logic isn’t allowed. But some other inexcusable activities and lifestyles apparently are, or cannot be mentioned. You either agree or you’re racist. It’s that simple. When I heard it was in Peckham I began to give her the benefit of the doubt. If you’ve been near or past Peckham in the last 10 years or no doubt longer it isn’t long before you hear another police siren. But this shooting happening in the back garden confirms she knew the type of characters there.

But this shooting happening in the back garden confirms she knew the type of characters there. BLM were promoting this as a targeted attack following her many death threats, despite being at 3am at a private (covid breach) party and Trident being involved in the investigation. If it was a white person, Trident wouldn't be in charge of the operation. If it was a targeted attack, it would likely be at a routine activity such as picking up the kids from school - not something random. It's come out in the last couple of hours that she's been the mistaken victim of a drive by. Another 20 year old woman was shot in Peckham on Friday. Best that can come of this is she can use her influence to change things. Unfortunately, 27 year old Brooks Polytechnic Graduate with mother of 3 seems very thick. She blames all her issues on race and the Tories. Couldn't possibly be her life choices. Hopefully the Martyrisation of George Floyd will stop because anyone who holds a pregnant woman at gun point is a dick head. She might realise that stop and search is less inconvenient than a bullet in the face. The police need adequate resources and respect. Not to be defended. Maybe she'll go the way of Candice Owen's. Hope she's ok.
