Todays first download is a set by Foo Fighters that was recorded on Monday 13.6.11 at the Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands. This is in superb quality and is a wicked set by the band. I've posted a few albums and bootlegs by this band in the past - this is another good one which is thoroughly recommended..... Todays second download is the first bootleg by this band that I've posted but not the first album. The band are called Brand X and this is a set they did at the Old Waldorf, San Francisco in 1977. This band play a sort of jazz fusion not unlike John Mclaughlin's Mahavishnu Orchestra. The band started in 1975 and split in 1980 - reformed in 1992 until 1999. Many musicians have appeared in the band over the years, including Phil Collins, Chester Thompson, and Pierre Moerlen. They've released about a dozen or so albums... live and studio - one of which I have posted before.... Todays first download is a set by former Guns N Roses guitarist Slash. This was recordd in Canada in September 2010 and is in superb quality. Slash plays a lot of GnR tracks as well as a few covers of Velvet Revolver tracks. He finishes the set with a cover of the classic "Paradise City". This is thoroughly recommended... Todays second download is a set by the Allman Brothers that was recorded at the Fillmore East in New York in 1971. This is in superb quality and is a top sounding boot. Early Allman Brothers boots which feature Duane Allman are rare - he died only a few months after this show. If you like the Allman Brothers band then this is thoroughly recommended.... Todays extra download is a 13 track collection comprising every session that Argent did for the BBC - 2 for John Peel and 2 for Bob Harris. The sessions were recorded during 1970-1973 - Argent were a great band and made some classic tracks including "Hold Your Head Up" and "God Gave Rock And Roll To You" both of which are on this download.
