look at these from the BBC website - picture 12 is just.... it's just REAL! If your picture is really dark, adjust your brightness and contrast.

Controlled explosion in London (didn't catch where) at 12:40pm. Turned out there was nothing sinister in the package. Was also an alert on a train heading to London from Swindown, but that has also been dealt with and Swindon station is now open again.

I was told by someone at work who`s boyfriend works at the tall building at canary wharf that he said the fire alarm went off at sometime after 9am but in the process of evacuation they were told to return as it was only a drill.

Quick post from Strand area. Word of an explosion at Leicester Square, six ambulances rushed past in that direction at 1130. A friend in Canary Wharf has also heard that a suicide bomber was shot there; another person has told me the bus in Tavistock Square was a suicide bomber too. Liverpool Street is now a makeshift hospital as there have been a series of explosions in the area, including Aldgate. I met someone earlier who saw the wreckage of the bus at first hand, he was about 200m away when it went off. Bodies, severed limbs, blood everywhere. He couldn't stop crying even though he's hard as nails. He said the bus was packed solid with people evacuated from the tube. Nobody walked away -- nobody. This is hell on earth. All I can think of is those people who went to work this morning like any other day; and they will never go home. It could so easily have been me, if I'd been on my normal train instead of 10 mins earlier, I'd be in Liverpool Street now. We are all in shock. I've read some of the earlier posts on here and I am frankly stunned that some of you are using this as an opportunity to peddle your hackneyed racist anti-Islamic views. How can you stoop so low, especially while people are still dying? What makes you the arbiter of truth and justice, as you rant about extermination from your position of pig ignorance? It's comments like these that tempt me to retort that it's no wonder we're a target when such disgraceful attitudes go unchallenged in our society. You sick f*ckers need your heads examined.
