Trying my best to be objective, I just don’t see this as a game which Liverpool should have won by a few goals.
It's so easy to just think in terms of the 2nd half back-to-the wall performance and forget the 1st half. Even then, as you refer to, Allison produced a sensational reaction save to foil Mateta. One might say Liverpool ought to have got a draw but it was simply one of those days when the underdog - to a man - put their bodies on the line for the cause. Such performances against the big boys desergve 3 points and we got them.

Bang on, they were almost gushing in their praise. That's because the pundits don't all support Liverpool, unlike Sky.

To be fair, I think it wouldn't have been an unfair result if they won by two or three goals. But we'll take it. If I were to analyse Liverpool, they miss Henderson and could do with an out and out centre forward. I think you’re right, there can’t have been many of us who wasn’t expecting the usual late collapse, but there did seem to be a bit more ‘thou shall not pass’ about us this time and we rode our luck a bit, but as you say we’ll take it and we deserved it

MOTM award goes to Joachem Andersen. It was very tight, Mitchell and Lerma I think Eze. Good to see.

Great to see OG saw that and put them on the bench where they belong, but as I said, great sub players. Roy would have started Schlupp, Ward, Ayew and we would have lost 5-0? Or 1-0? we would have lost. Spot on. Terrific post.

Tremendous performance and deserved 3 points. We looked a team with real technical ability. Instead of hoofing it, it was played into Wharton or Hughes who are both comfortable on the ball. We all of a sudden seem to have real depth in CM. Nice selection headache when Ghehi and Doucoure return. When we were under the kosh, we rode our luck a bit, but the passion and fight was there. Wharton is a serious player and I've no doubt will be in England's World Cup squad in 2026. He's got it all. Mateta is new man. Hold up play is a different level, puts himself about, looks physically tough and can now finish. Munoz gives us a bite and can get forward well with pace. Andersens head was a magnet. the makeshift back line were awesome. I've been critical of Mitchell lately, but his performances as a wing back are certainly improving, his attacking play is far better than it was 2 months ago. Credit must go to the coaches for that. I still think he remains a weak link and has a way to go to reach Munoz's standards. Henderson is a worry for me. He made some good saves, but it was the incident at the end of he first half when he didn't come for a ball which was clearly his which almost resulted in a goal. Johnstone has to get the jersey back when fit. Just has more presence about him. The worry is we'll lose key players in summer. I'm fairly certain we'll lose at least one of Eze/Olise and one of Ghehi/Andersen. We need a strong finish to the season under the new manager to convince the big names we're worth staying at. We'll need to show ambition to keep everyone happy. We're so close to being a very good side.

I do not care what any of the so called ''Pundits or Klopp'' says this was a great tactical victory for CP and shows what a modest team can do with the right heart and fitness against the big pockets of the wealthier clubs. So Klopp, thinks they should have won 4-1 based on chances created, he has of course blanked out of his mind the fact that we could have been three nil up at HT and with our second half chances, using the klopp formula we should have one 6-4. Sadly for Liverpool its only goals scored that count.

He wasn’t expecting this. Also reminds me of the 21 pass goal against Brighton under Vieira in the 21/22 season. Royball is defunct…long live Glasball!
