Forest had just one point from their last six games, no wonder Cooper got sacked. Roy's got two from his last six, So perhaps he's next, dependent on the result against Brighton. Apart from experience with youngsters and immediate availability what would Cooper bring to the party?

Because he is as old as Methuselah and has stated in interview he will not stay beyond the end of this season.

If we lose the next 3/4 matches and Cooper is not engaged elsewhere, then he may leave even earlier than that.

I suspect Roy will continue to another dignified retirement at the end of the season and then we will consider Cooper et al (again, if he is not employed elsewhere).

Well if you done your homework instead of spouting petty insults about our present manager you woud have noted that he has stated he is leaving Palace the end of the season but not retiring from management, and when your messiah Cooper has the next 3/4 matches without a win you will be calling for his head . Being old is not a disability.

Why does everyone think he is going to be the next Palace Manager , we have a manager and backroom staff . Lets just get behind them an beat the living sh1t out of the weed on Thurs night . In Roy we trust. Very disappointed in you all .

Did you see that Roy said to the media this week that he is definitely leaving the club in the summer, which will require us getting a new manager?

"I thought it was coming at the end of last season but it was prolonged by the club asking me to stay on for this season. That is what I am doing. I don’t have any plans or any thoughts beyond that. I want to do well this season, I want to help the club have a good season and that will be me finished with Crystal Palace Football Club.”

There's a difference between a discussion on the next manager and not being behind the current one. I'd certainly hope the board are discussing the next manager!

I know what he said and your confirmation that he proposes to leave us season end is all you needed to read.

He is not excessively old in the scheme of things but surely he is too old to carry the weight of a premier league manager. Then again I suppose Rupert murdoch ran his media empire till his 90s.

Btw where did I write that Cooper was the chosen one or even what I want. I actually said I want him for our U21s.
