I hate politics in football, taking the knee or showing support for one country or another or some cause. Keep politics out of football. It really is the FA's own fault. Having bent over backwards to push the BLM scenario and then displaying the flag colours of those who have been attacked, it has now got itself into a corner. Perhaps if it had stuck to celebrations rather than political gestures then it wouldn't have been put in this position. Obviously the 'be my friend or I'll bash you' school playground mantra is still alive today.
hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing. |

I really enjoy it when dimwittery is exposed by unfolding events. I agree that showing any kind of political support in any circumstances is unwise. Just as well they didn’t do it then with BLM! They supported a message, not an organisation:-
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

That’s supporting or as a minimum advertising the organisation isn’t it!

Of course football supported BLM. He didn't notice the banners too busy counting the number of angels on a pin head.

Of course football supported BLM. Yep, it started off with the same branding and adopted the same kneeling that the BLM group were also using.....That claim that it wasn't connected was simply used to answer criticism. Let's not forget that the guy who flew a banner over a ground saying, 'white lives matter', wasn't working for an organisation....But it didn't matter....The same people insisting that one racial group's lives mattered went out of their way to ensured that this guy was sacked from his job....his girlfriend also being sacked.
