We’ll not be relegated this season, and we’ve got an easier run-in than games to date, so we’ll pick up a bit more. Agree, Anderson was immense on his return and will improve more, Richards has shown what he can do and so far so good I feel, all eleven on the pitch fucked up the defending for that goal and I'm pretty sure they all know it. I don't expect any wins from our next six games but I do expect at least another three points from them and yes we have an easier end to our campaign so like you I feel we'll be ok.

First, we could have loaned or bought a striker, but no, two midfielders, to go with Hughes, Doucoure, Luka, McArthur, Jairo and the chosen one Schlupp, a 19 year old, now next year can battle with Philips and Ozoh, for two places, How do you know we didn't scour the earth trying to sign a striker? In any event, this thread is about PVs performance. Whether the club tried to get a new forward or not, the fact is he hasn't got one of any merit to call upon. We need a manager who understand there is little to no money, and can work with that... getting the job done. But, we need a chairman that can provide the tools to a manager that doesn't have cash at his exposal - such as an academy, scouting network and loan market experience. Fans need to understand that won't be pretty.. but there will be joyful moments no doubt.

Why can’t PV be criticised, if the players and chairman can be.

As Mr T Punt has said it's Dougie and Parish that sign players and not Vieira but intriguingly Everton (amongst others) wanted to buy Mateta in January and we quoted them the ridiculous price of £15m which is considerably more than we paid for him

If you think Vieira has no input into who we can afford to buy, you are wrong, do you seriously think that Freedman and Parish just buy a player without consulting Vieira, and say "here is your new player, have you heard of him?" ridiculous.

I'm sure he's kept in the loop to some extent but it is evidently Freedman who is responsible for transfers. I thought everyone knew that?
