But that money was spent by someone else and we are led to believe that the DOF sources the players. It's like me bringing you Lanzo paella chef extraordinaire a load of Chinese ingredients and telling you to get on with it...

Sometimes one can be given all the ingredients but one simply cannot get the souffle to rise.

Gone from 25 to 20 and now 10/1 in last few weeks Last chance to get on at good odds .We all know we needed a goal scorer in window which would have possibly rescued a point yesterday and all the pretty play has very little bite

Lanzo Ad,
Get your head out of the sand, this team needs additional investment on top of that !!

We no longer have to play Newcastle, Man U or Chelsea and we have just been through a tough run anyway.

We have no more cup games.

The players showed willingness and guts yesterday even though the better team won. Even if the result was unaffected, getting a goal after their red card means something for confidence.

We have a big injury in Zaha (as well as Andersen). Say Calvert-Lewin gets injured for Everton, who everyone thinks is now on course to qualify for Europe following one result and they're well back into the fight.

We even have a pretty superior goal difference to Saints and Bournemouth, who have to go for it if they are going to escape the drop. Unlikely to recover that. That's like an extra half point.

Our options in the centre now are encouraging when beforehand our passing play failed to deceive with either Schluppy or Luka. Hughes doesn't have the tenacity, he's Doucoure's backup. PV will give these new lads a go and we don't know what might happen for the better.

I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry.

Patrick Vieria has talked about being "Clinical" in the final third. Our recognised strikers are Ayew, Eduoard and Mateta and Ayew has often been deployed out wide !

Hmmm, Sounds like Luka, PV seems to have destroyed any confidence he had, man managment, hopeless,

Seriously ?

He’s been on the slide for three or more years now.

But that may have escaped your attention

We still havnt replaced Wan Bissake (who played well yesterday) We do need a box to box midfielder alongside Decoure, and Gallagher if available in the summer window will be too expensive. And yes, of course, we do need a proper striker who can put away goal chances. And we might need to replace Wilfred too

We all know there are glaring deficiencies in the squad but adequate replacements will cost a significant amount. We are also aware that a number of players come to the end of their contracts at the end of the season. The financial implications are plain for all to see.

In terms of a box-to-box midfielder, Ahamada claims to be one so hopefully he 'Hits the ground running' and provides a real boost to the midfield engine room.

Luka ?? Hasn't been good enough for about 3 seasons. Just another example of a player still carried on the wage bill on big bunce, who should have long ago been upgraded like Riedewald & Ward, who aren't good enough & offer nothing for the outlay.

His best seasons were 2017-18 and 2018-19 when he scored a total of 22 goals over these seasons, mainly free kicks and penalties.

Rubbish, 122m and a good manager would have spent it better.

Is that a serious comment? So you don’t think the likes of Geuhi, Anderson, Olise, Eze, Doucoure aren’t now worth more than we payed for them?
And even the 2 forwards could be classed as a PL punt at their purchase prices. I still think that with the right service Odsonne and JP will score goals.
