If you want someone to be your friend, you won't get it by imposing sanctions on them, will you.

Or disrespecting them and blatantly provoking them.

You can respect without appeasement; and how do you check their advance other than through sanctions or military force?

The Russians feel a great deal of pain at losing the Cold War but you don't make them feel better by sitting back and allowing them to expand by force to reoccupy the former USSR.

NATO became an aggressive and expansive force after the cold war, Russia kept to its borders.

NATO agreed not to expand eastwards beyond the Elbe, instead it has become like an occupier, in Ukraine willed on by its foolish president ignoring the Minsk agreements.

Whether we agree or not, its too much for Russia and they are calling time on it.

The region annexed in 2014 Crimea has voted 90% to stay in the Russian Federation, these two regions change should be easy with Russia guaranteeing their banking pensions security.

Above all they are Russian, Ukraine even tried to stop them speaking their own language.

Every single part of it is true. That is why what you are seeing play out on our TV screens at the moment from the West's MSM point of view is so incredibly poor in terms of actual real reporting and analysis.

Is Putin a b******? Absolutely. But he is a b****** for the Russian people. That is the point. He is doing what he thinks is best for Russia. Not for what paymasters in the background are telling him to do.

We are devoid of such leadership in the West.

Personally I don't believe a word that comes out of Nato's or Putin's gob.

Power lies, half truths and omits to its own demographic to justify its aims.....it's all a paint job.

The residents of Lugansk, Donetsk, look relieved and happy.

Western leaders should be asking themselves why they are not wanted.

Russia is the largest and most powerful country to ignore their concerns is ridiculous.

What next M may have a view.

It is no surprise that its the leader of the British Labour Party Sir Keir Starmer who is leading the hawks aiming to sanction and close down anything Russian.

On the Russian side of the border locals are opening their doors to refugees fleeing from Ukrainian shelling.

And he wants us to close down RT so we won't see it.

What, just like the people of Austria, the Sudetenland and Czechoslovakia did when Hitler marched in?
