We should also be thanking the VAR people for falling asleep . Clear encroachment on the penalty by 3 or 4 of our players though not by Mitchell who cleared the ball . (Does that make any difference these days ?)

Ah, i didnt even see that- had our share of luck then!

Late to this thread but other than our goal, far too much of our play vs The Seagulls just seemed insipid with easy loss of possession and not helped by wayward passing. Butland was MOTM that will do his confidence the world of good whilst Anderson likewise put in surely his best match of the season. Could've (and arguably should've) been Brighton causing to an easy win by half time.

On a separate note, African Cup Of Nations continues to be a major headache in terms of removing vital squad players from crucial domestic fixtures - why can't this tournament take place every FOUR years instead of TWO and during a break in domestic seasons?

My thoughts exactly, by far his best defensive display this season. Earlier he has cost us a few goals but yesterday he was massive defensivly.

The point being CP, is this is what Palace fans have to endure & go thru every time we've been to the mansex. Nice to know they had to suffer it.

Judging by their players, some of them loved it and copped a quick feel.

Spain is warm to hot, people are on the beach(good name for a travel company) & everyone is complying with masks & numbers.

Thanks for asking.

From what I've read it sounds like old bill were drafted in from far and wide and didn't know the area around the ground. They stopped people going straight to the station and directed them back into the oncoming crowd causing a crush. Fecking stupid. They police our matches V seaweed like WW3 is about to break-out whereas there is only a couple of hundred from each club who are going to cause trouble.

I’m with you all the way re Afcon. It’s ridiculous every 2 years.
We are one of the worst hit. Just hope our 3 don’t get injured. The pitches are not great. Just watched Côte d’Ivoire and Wilf. Stadium was nearly empty.

You got any vacancies?!

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Oh well someone was actually watching. He doesn’t always deserve the stick he gets at times,. But last night was not good.

Whatever it was you were watching it was not the Brighton match! Ward never had control of the ball to lose it. Mateta was playing right wing back at this point and failed to beat his man. Ward then failed to stop the cross but is was Andersen who put the ball in the net. To blame anyone else for this is unfair but if you are going to blame Ward you should equally blame the right wing back or rather blame whoever asked Mateta to play in that role.
