The only reason it’s gone on this long is because there is no fans in the stadiums. As soon as the fans return it will stop. I had no problem with it at first but it’s gone on far too long and it’s time for it to end. The point has been made. The point has been made ? 'the point' being that bullyboy tactics by BLM have won the day.

So Brentford have announced that they'll no longer be participating in the kneeling, mainly for most of the reasons mentioned here, that its lost its way and its impact and has simply gone on for far too long. The kick it out campaign can continue to fight inequality in a far more practical and influential way than this farcical display did. The Premier League need to actually put their heads together and think of something better than making all players and staff dance on command to say they've done something to fight racism and do something effective instead. Unfortunately Brentfords decision, amongst other comments made by various professionals has sounded the knell for a very ignoble death of "taking the knee" Edited by crvenaeagle (14 Feb 2021 10.59pm)

let Brighton take the knee while we send Benteke, Ayew & Townsend down the channels to their goal. 0-1 Palace ( 5 seconds )

Apparently the players stood in the Ireland v France game on Sunday - I didn't see the start so missed it.

and they continue to say 'defund the police' . Are we funding this with our Prem subscriptions ? Wilfried's refusal to take the knee, he does have a valid point.

This redundant gesture was discussed at a meeting of club captains last week and it's reported that there was a general consensus to stop with the exception of 'certain matches', whatever that means. They want to discuss it with their squads before reaching a final decision. Watch this space.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Probably so BT and Sky can still get excited by it!
