Many souls with short memories here. On Saturday we tallied one of the more inspiring results in my time as a fan, showing grit and pluck in scaring mighty Citeh before finally succumbing -- and then snatching a point through force of will when all seemed lost. This, on the road, with a severely depleted squad. Three days later, still woefully undermanned, we face a team enjoying a first-class run of form. It showed. We're human.

I'd be interested to know the percentage of pant-wetters who have begun to support Palace more recently (in the recent Prem era, say) versus those of us who have supported Palace for over 50 years. Just idle curiosity, but I suspect it's higher amongst the former group. 'Typical Palace' is not a new concept. There's a clue in the first word.

Another shocking performance to the collection, was hoping for something half decent especially after getting a point away to Citeh. Overall league position is still okish though, as it could be a lot worse.

I've got a mate called Roy, but everyone calls him Reggie because he's blinkered (Regi Blinker) when it comes to Palace. He thinks whenever we lose that we were either unlucky or we were robbed, or that the opposition were really lucky. He won't hear a word against Parish or Hodgson. I haven't asked him yet, but he probably thinks Neil Shipperley was just holding a hotdog instead of his todger. Just saying. im not blinkered, just realistic, we have now played best part of 2 months with half our best starting 11 injured, relying on kelly jairo etc. half of our 1st team havnt played a string of matches all season and have come in & we've kept grinding out points to stay mid table. a poster earlier stated i wasnt saying that under sam, you cant compare sam & roy...one spent a fortune and f***ed off after 5 months and another has integrity and just gets on with it. just because my mood doesn't change like ive got some sort of personality disorder because we lost a game doesnt mean i dont see fault in people, its more the fact the good points far outweigh the bad so you just take the down points on the chin knowing all in all a good job is being done. if i could be arsed (which i cant) i would collate responses from posters from all match threads just to show the utter kneejerk lunacy in some fans rambling on here post match, im not saying thats you btw fella.

Bit of a gap now down to the Weed in 15th. Let's hope for a much improved performance a week on Sat. We cannot let Utd have 80% possession for the first half though and boss us. Think Andros has been a big loss and hoping he will be back sometime soon. I'd play him, Ayew, Tosun and Wilf. Strange at the top this season, with the Arse, Spuds, Chelski, Citeh and ManUre all showing some fragility at various times, only the Scousers look frightening, so there are possible points everywhere. 4 big games in Feb where a win and a couple of draws would be very handy for us.
