I understand the reason of your argument but unfortunately, the elephant in the room is that some of those people have come over here and raped our women in large numbers.
It is just not acceptable to sweep that reality under the carpet just to support a particular narrative.

Does it really make someone a racist because they are angry about that or because they remind people that they warned them about allowing certain types of cultures into this country?
I see no relation to racism at all.
Life s just not about simple narratives and ideals. We live in a world where the various political tribes just want to promote a simple message and the truth is lost amongst the rhetoric.

Its a marginal thing that has been given a crazy level of prominence. If you found out that the group of people most likely to rape are South Africans, would you feel as passionately about South Africans not being allowed in this country? You could certainly make a lot of arguements about the structure of the country just like people do with muslim countries.
If we deported every muslim rapist, would you be happy with the remaining muslims to stay?

I would argue that even if all muslims were model citizens, it wouldn't change most peoples mind on them either way, the rape gang thing is mostly convenient decoration to most people. I wouldn't mind but it has really infected actual political debate on day to day things that matter to peoples lives

There is no evidence that Robinson is 'racist' as you put it.

Islam is not a race and Robinson has non whites who support him. You are just repeating leftist propaganda.

The fact remains, the majority of Robinson's views aren't 'hard right'......and the reality of the 'hard right' is that they have more in common with the statist 'hard left' than people realise.

Gunning for muslims is racist bud, thats not propaganda. My point still stands (And actually yours too) that gunning for muslims is not a left or right point of view, its just gunning for muslims. I have no idea whether he is left or right because he has never given a speech talking tax rates or pensions. Far-right is generally linked to getting rid of foreigners in general, not muslims specificly. So i don't really consider him to have far-right or far-left views, doesn't mean he doesn't but his general views on immigration are not really discussed. Maybe he has some brilliant views on unemployment benifit that could revolutionise this country but until he stops this "Muslims bad..." message,we will never know where he stands politically.

Sorry, I don't think that follows....

If this were true then people would also be saying the same things about Hindus and Sikhs.

'Gunning for muslims is racist bud, thats not propaganda'.

Errrr...it kind of is.

A religion is not a race and it's a conflation.

Robinson may be lots of things but he's actual positions are heavily smeared and are kept out of public knowledge.

Because...the truth eh....far too inconvenient.....and there are plenty of Robinson's views I don't agree with.

Sorry you are right, the term nowadays is interchangeable. I know its not technically correct but its really arguing in the margins.

So I would argue that Robinsons actual political views arn't kept out of public knowledge, they are just irrelevant as they are not really what he wants to be known for. He has plenty of platforms to choose from to discuss his politics, i'm not 100% against his views on the BBC (im an SNP supporter so feeling misrepresented by the BBC is something I can see his view on) but even he rarely discusses his political views (Unless you see his views on Muslims as a polital view which, as I mentioned earlier, I don't). Like I said, he might well have very reasonable views on a lot of stuff but its not like he livestreams to promote his "Hot-take" on whether you should pay VAT on Jaffa-cakes or not...

But yes, I used "racist" and should have been "prejudiced" so I will concede on that. Still stand by it not being a political view though

Who are the people responsible for that Beanyboysmd?

So if you're against a religion you're a racist?....Blimey.

Should we not be resisting the abuse of words for political propaganda? This is much like the abuse of the word 'Nazi'.

If Scotland voted for independence I'd support that endeavour, as an expression of justified self determination.....but I wouldn't if say, London wished for it.

If I could move posts off threads I would but the software isn't that sophisticated so could you please keep this thread to (roughly) Who Is To Blame and post Tommy Robinson stuff to his own existing thread

I would happily deport all the rapists whether they are 'British' or not.
I certainly do not approve of the oppression of individuals based on religion or the actions of other individuals.
Does that mean that I approve of Islamic teaching or that I'm happy with its spread into Britain? Does it mean I don't think it poses a threat to our culture or our citizens?

Certainly not.

Everyone else defended his actions and claimed outrage when he was charged, found guilty and jailed.

Which is only to be expected here. Anything else would be totally out of character.

If you despise this place and the people on it, why do you spend so much time on here?

The point I was making is the fact that someone has a thread dedicated to them does not necessarily mean there is a groundswell of lauding in their direction.

Read the thread and then let a few others, with a variety of political viewpoints also read it before you make a judgement on that.

I certainly don't detect a hard-right cabal on HOL and if you assert that there is, I will vehemiently disagree with you no matter what arguments you put forward.

Whether you perceive opinions as centre right or hard right nearly always depends on your own point of view. Many here believe the BBC to be far to the left politically whilst many left leaning forums think they are a hard right outfit. However I don't think it is really possible to argue that this place is anything other than dominated by hard right sentiment. I think most of them would accept that is the case with some pride.

I do get the impression that you prefer opposition to your views as it provides you with the impetus to continue spoon-feed us what the great and good on HOL might view as warm diarrhoea.

Forums which do nothing than confirm your bias also teach you nothing. That others might react to my posts as you suggest is entirely to be expected. I would be in the wrong place if that didn't happen. There are very, very few on here who could claim to be among the "great and the good". I have been aware of these types of attitudes for 60 years or more. I grew up in a tough neighbourhood where there was a very simplistic approach to politics. Fortunately I was lucky enough to have benefited from some exposure to more sophisticated political thinking later on.

I have no intention whatsoever of casting personal slurs in your direction as this poisons the well of debate but the tone of vaunting superiority coupled with what many consider 'Bilgewater' has not really added value to this cherished site. You are in good company as 'Yours Truly' has been accused of similar sentiments in the distant past!

What others think of me and my posting style is irrelevant. I don't post here to massage my ego. If I occasionally get someone to rethink their attitude then that's reward enough.

Finally, far from besmirching you as a person I will give you some credit. To my miniscule mind (As opposed to yours) not too many persons aged 75, would have the energy nor inclination to debate on a plethora of sites, nor perhaps travel the world and arise at 3AM to view streams of our games.A few people that I have met of your era are technical deserts but clearly you are totally 'Au Fait' with present day technology - clearly more than me!

Please don't belittle yourself. You are one of the more eloquent and reasonable opponents whose attacks are generally more sarcastic than vicious. I have long had an interest in computing and was writing programmes for an Amstrad at least 30 years ago. Gotta keep up! By the way I have recently been asked to become captain of my bowls club so not everyone thinks I am a complete numpty. Although some here no doubt think all bowlers are numpties.

From from being a chef d'oeuvre I have concluded that the latest thoughts of the erudite erstwhile computer programmer might be declamatory but alas is the propogation of palpable tosh and a rambling farago of hogwash delivered in a tone of vaunting superiority. The arguments creak like the hip-joint of an octogenarion harlot.Mere thermals, slinging more bull's excrement than a Pamplona street cleaner.

Whilst I dismiss his sentiments out of hand amidst barks of derision I am grateful for the compliments he paid to me in his final paragraph.Enjoy the bowls - probably a member of the 'Green Party' !

I spend much less than you might imagine. Currently I spend much longer on several Labour supporting sites arguing about their need to move direction back to the centre.

I drift in and out according to the political landscape. These are both interesting and dangerous days and it's always useful to understand what people on the margins are thinking and for your own ideas to be torn to shreds.
