It would be quite the spectacle but he's so out of touch with the average person that if he put himself on the stand it might not go well. With that said Americans have always had a fascination with the Royals and in terms of what many of Epsteins pals have no doubt got up to, its fair to see he's the 'fall guy' and that might bring a degree of sympathy from some jurors. Pretty sure he'll just offer a huge payout but if this somehow does go to court, it's 'must see' territory. Depends what you call a 'Huge Payout' by all accounts for all his up bringing & schmoozing he's only worth a paltry 20M, not chump change admittedly but I honestly expected him to be worth more than that.

You know you are in trouble when..... You have to rely on Kevin Spacey for a character reference.

True, that must be chump change for the Royal Family. Maybe Mummy tried to keep him on a tight rein

The US court has asked for a witness statement from Andrew's personal former equerry. I feel sorry for the guy if that was me I would be furious. This is a civil case not criminal it is no different then suing your neighbour because their dog keeps barking. Andrew will not go to jail because of this case. Working in the royal household is all about discretion, this guy may hate Andrew's guts but he is now being dragged into something I doubt he wants anything to do with. And why should he get involved, this is a US court and relates to matters in the US. I guess I am a little sensitive about this as a neighbour has been trying to drag me into their dispute with another neighbour which I have resisted. If the Equerry wants to testify that is fine if he doesn't I expect the media will be all over him making his life a misery. Edited by Badger11 (01 Feb 2022 9.56am)

It speaks volumes to your character that you see fit to continually label someone who was molested as a 7 year old and a victim of ongoing grooming as a minor as a 'tart'. If this is correctly reported, Andrews lawyers are not on a good wicket "PRINCE Andrew's lawyers are said to be planning to present his rape accuser Virginia Roberts as a sex trafficker by allegedly using evidence from a Jeffrey Epstein victim." (The Sun) 1. It doesn't specifically rebuff any of the allegations 2. Victim blaming is not a good stance. A bit like explaining how your cock got to be in a 17year old, was because she wore make-up.

I think he is in big trouble, he has agreed to be interviewed over 2 days by the opposition lawyers. I have seen lots of (admittedly US crime fiction) where depositions are involved they are an exercise in trawling for dirt. If HRH thinks the questions will only relate to the victim and Epstein he is sorely mistaken. They will try and examine every aspect of his life especially his sex life and of course they will hoping to catch him in a lie. This will be 2 days of grilling by somebody with a sharp mind, not a fawning TV interviewer,he's already shown with that TV interview that he doesn't perform well I suspect this will be way worse. He is going to need a sharp lawyer to protect him from the bear traps and I don't think he is up to the job. Grab the popcorn.

Edited by EverybodyDannsNow (01 Feb 2022 5.40pm) Yes but she was not molested by Andrew as a 7 year old. She was 17 and of age just about everywhere in the developed world save parts of the US. How could he have known her awful past? Andrew is supposedly not very nice but this case has all the trappings of a shake down.
