Just got back so haven't read the thread.
An inept performance from start to finish - tactically poor throughout.
Why Meyer and Kouyate were on the bench I have no idea at all so wrong team as well.
Add to the normal "Roy I am not changing things of using my subs early" and it was a disaster!
They played one up front so we played four at the back and stayed that way until near the end!I
PVA needs dropping - play Ward there - Roy won't of course.I
Roy needs his P45 now as well - clueless today.
Everyone around us won so we are right back in it.
I cannot think of a positive from today.
Oh - and Wilf and Wan B are probably on the phone to their Agents right now sorting out their next moves!

Pretty much spot on, but id throw Schlupp into the mix as well...only comes alive in the oppos pen box otherwise is anonymous.

Having said all that, whilst i HATE BR13HTON there are times when you simply have to your hands up. They out palace'd us, doing what we do to others and the two goals were superb efforts. So they have the league bragging rites until next season.

Home form is appalling and we are so better away..
So with potentially three away games in the FA Cup to come, we have a chance.... to win some thing that Roy can retire a hero and we can forget how bad it has been at home this season!!

I know I’m not allowed to criticise WZ but I think Roy took the wrong winger off. Brought Benteke on so we had 2 genuine strikers for the first time in ages and very time we got the ball we passed it to Wilf who tried to walk it into the net. We were rubbish down the left side today both attacking and defensively.
AWB and Luca were the only players worth their salt today.

Wilf and Townsend should've switched wings 2nd half, when we needed width to stretch their narrow system andros kept coming in off the wing because he only has ONE foot!!! So frustrating and played into their hands every time...

You can talk about tactics and team selection but I thought the biggest thing we missed today was luck. No way did Brighton deserve to score two goals today.

They were far more lucky at the Amex than today's performance. Nothing wrong with their goals today, just poor defending by us, coupled with terrible team selection.

Awful performance by Palace today we were just so sloppy with the ball so many times we lost possession it was criminal. This home form is ridiculous. I would expect Roy, who has been a manager for about 40 years now, to be able to come up with a plan to win home games on a regular basis but we seem to get the same slow paced slow tempo dross every home game. The only time we look like creating anything is when Meyer comes on but a lot of the time it’s too late and the opposition are organised and see it through

Our crossing and final ball is lamentable and whilst Zaha is great at beating players he is one of the worst for squandering possession by being too greedy. PVA what a crap player he has become while Michy looked like he didn’t give a f**k today.

Should have started with the same outfield that started at Burnley. Poor team selection and use of substitutes. Horrible day all round.

I take it you weren't at the game today. Brighton look a good football team compared to our one man effort. The deserved the win and though it hurts to say they are a better run and organised club than ours. We have been a shambles for 5/6 years now and under RH we have not improved one iota.

Let's hope it's not the last rites for us!

So you really think that based on their performance they deserved to score two goals (PS I was at the game)

I don't think they were any better than us. They just had the rub of the green.

We weren't at our best for sure but thought we were the better team.

That's taking nothing away from Brighton who took their chances.

Completley agree. All I was trying to say was that I thought we were unlucky to lose today.
