I don’t what’s more to be depressed about - the rest of this appalling season, losing game after game, or next season, bottom of the Championship with stone-faced Freedman masterminding our return to the 3rd Division for the first time in 40 odd years.

Hodgson's job is not under threat as it is appreciated the contraints he is working under and he has got enoough credit for what he achieved last season.

Should at some juncture, Freedman be handed the reins my dedication and interest in the club will be sorely tested and I have been a fervent supporter through thick and a great deal of thin since the 60s.Straw and camel's back come to mind.

Take one step back and have a look.
The one constant in this mess is Parish. We haven't moved on since promotion whilst the likes of Brighton, Bournemouth and Watford seem to consolidate and focus on what is important. On the pitch.
This club is so lacking in the basics, we can hardly turn out a first 11, and yet Parish dreams of his new stand. Prick.

We have to be very very careful what we wish for but I agree SP is a constant in our problems. He is a good man I'm sure but lacks the knowledge to run a football club. We need a window in January we had under Sam's guidance.

Well that isn't anything to boast about, as that bar was set extremely low !!

We will have to go into that game on a low ebb, without any shaprness in attack. Ironically this could be Roy's Soton game when Warnock got the boot with a similar if not more points tally. Roy may only get a stay of execution due to last season but remember Pards did not, all be it with a shocking run of form. I would be surprised presently if behind the scenes that a possible successor isn't being looked at, which might well be Dougie.

Dougie. Another ex player hired for a position at a level he isn’t qualified for, just like his DOF role.

I'll tell you when I know what January's budget is - it needs to be good and we must strengthen. After Burnley I thought we might be ok - completely wrong and it'll be expensive.

Quite so. The visible fruits of his labours are underwhelming to say the least.

potentially you could be correct, tho i dont know why we would even think of sacking roy...he will earn us enough points to stay up, thats pretty much a given. especially if the option most see is freedman as a replacement, as he has zero credentials to take over.

i have always been very against sacking managers on a whim, mainly because there doesnt seem to be a “southampton” plan in place, we simply cant take a punt/risk as history shows this dorsny work. so in my eyes its either david moyes, or dougie freedman. no thanks to both.

lets back roy & parish and take staying up by a few points with not much money spent.

lets be frank, we are not a european quality football team, and we are no longer a championship quality club, we are a eatablished lower table PL team and the quicker people accept & embrace this, the quicker we can stop this bulls*** moaning, scapegoating & false expectations.

The board better spend in January or we are sunk.
So stupid to wait till January instead of doing the business in the Summer. Same old story.

It is a disgrace that we didn't sign another forward with the crap we have up front. It is also nuts to have only one fit centre half as a backup, especially when he is a disaster.

I actually suspect that the plan is to build a new stand and then sell the club, which is why we haven't spent much in the last two windows.
