Sat here after an abysmal display which sadly I like many others had to pay to watch.
The referee didn't help but until I see it on TV it is difficult to be sensible about that.
Hennessey should stay on his line sometimes even though the first goal wasn't his fault - completely anyway.
Wan biss - class.
Kelly - hmm
Sakho - okay
Van A - okay
Sclupp - awful, awful
Luka - poor game again
Jimmy Mac - brilliant
Townsend - dreadful
Ayew did well
Benteke - enough said
Hodgson should have had Andros and Sclupp off at half time.
I am struggling for words to describe that awful performance against a team of donkeys!

In general I agree but think we must have watched a different Ayew. I thought he was hopeless. Greedy and weak and consistently gave the ball away. Comms seemed to agree

That was extremely poor. Roy has to take the break to make some tough decisions. We played better last season without a recognized striker and Benteke coming off the bench. Sakho and Kelly at fault on the first goal, Hennessey solid again but too many mistakes in front of him. Ayew very poor in first half and not much better in the second. Missing Tomkins is hurting us bad. Poorest game by Palace in quite some time.

Another weekend ruined. Roy is losing the support of the fans. If you play bencrape again it’s totally lost. We’ve had enough.

Speak for yourself, chum.

And I sympathise if your weekend is spoiled by a football match. Rank as the result may be, our start to this season is still better than last.

I try to swerve the blame-game when we lose.
Palace were generally poor, but there were glimmers of optimism in a sea of pl55-poor mediocrity.

That kind of game knocks your enthusiasm for going to matches.
Still, we have a few days to get over it, and no doubt Roy will be busy, swinging his boot at a few @r5e5.

His positioning wasn’t great for their second goal though was it ? And the pen was a very soft Benteke esque penalty no power at all Austin should be ashamed

I think the team after the break should be:

Hennessey

AWB, Tomkins, Sakho, PVA

McArthur Kouyate Milivojevic Meyer

Zaha and either Ayew or Townsend

I liked the way we played at the end of last season when we were forced too play without a centre forward

It’s clearly apparent that Benteke confidence is shot, 4 good chances today he should have put away. But Who do we replace him with. Wickham is a like a church window with a massive crack it waiting to shatter. Solorth is not Premiership quailty and Ayew is not match fit. We can not reply on Zaha all the time. Who do we play up front
Puncheon, Kai Kai, Williams. We just don’t have the back up.
