Well that wins the prize for Bollocks Argument of the Year for 2018 I think. Backed up with the sort of personal abuse you pnly get from people who've lost the argument. I can't remember what it wss about now, but you've at least told me who lost. Oh, and ask Daddy before you use his computer next time.

It's quite remarkable just how quickly batting totals have fallen in recent test years. Also away touring sides just don't appear to put that much stock into tests.

Kohli has impressed me, skill and determination. He acts like he's had a sniff of coke before coming out but he's proven the doubters wrong about his ability on English pitches. But generally the Indian batting has played like they've had the trots and need to get back into the dressing room sharpish. Edited by Stirlingsays (10 Sep 2018 6.10pm)

Tomorrow is looking like a great fifth day. India will dig in I think and make them hard to break down, a draw would be a fine effort. Realistically I think those 3 wickets, including the captain will be decisive. England will look to remove the current pair, there may be a partnership but not really much further down the order. I will really miss test cricket, we will not be seeing any for ages.

Indeed, and the commenators were saying how rarely tests get into the final day ! Certainly scoring rates have improved a lot since the old days when the likes of Illingworth and Brearley were captains.

I think that's uniform with batters finding it tough wherever they come from. I just think that if you have pitches which help the bowlers and even take spin quite quickly, that is the main reason. The Oval, in particular is known as an ideal batting wicket, but here we had a green top and movement right from the beginning.

I note that he was selected not only for the tests but in the squads for the T20 and ODI games.
