There is actually none for standing, but the club have chosen to turn a blind eye to it in one block. 4 blocks. That slither of A, then B, C and D. Now the front of E stand as well. How the front of E stands and the rest sees the game I don’t know. Is there a sudden jump at one row half the way up the stand?

Is it just me or is there an irony in the main picture now on the home page featuring a view from behind the goal?

Such as the now discredited Taylor report The now discredited Taylor Report? Let's see. The Taylor Report refuted the claims that drunken ticketless people caused the Hillsborough disaster and exposed the lie David Duckenfield told Graham Kelly of the FA concerning the opening of the exit gate at Leppings Lane. Those lies and others were confirmed by the Warrington Coroner's inquest as well as the Independent Inquiry led by the Bishop of Liverpool & Professor Phil Scraton in 2012. The Taylor Report called for the removal of perimeter fencing and pens. That has been adopted and has been successful. The Taylor Report nixed the introduction of a national ID card scheme The only thing that the Taylor Report proposed and was adopted that many disagree with is all seater sports facilities. I remember Ron Noades proposing a safe standing section directly behind the goals in 1992. 10 minutes after it went up on Ceefax (remember that?) the head of the Football Trust, which controlled the money clubs used to redevelop their grounds, said our chairman was living in cloud cuckoo land. The fix was in for all seaters back then. Times change and perhaps safe standing, which I believe already exists in spirit if not in fact, is an idea whose time has come. When I first came to London in 1989 I had no experience with terraces but learned they were and are preferable to me. However, there are others who feel all seaters are inherently safer. The argument that that's the way it's always been so that's the way it should always be holds no water with me. The only reason the Taylor Report didn't gain more traction was the deliberate perversion of the course of justice perpetrated by those who wanted to protect the reputations of senior officials in South Yorkshire. One way they did this was by altering the statements of over 169 junior (in rank) police officers. That led to the now officially discredited and voided first inquest led by Stefan Popper (I originally wrote "Pooper." Under Freudian see Freudian) who allowed South Yorkshire and West Midlands police officials to unduly influence his findings. As for Lord Justice Taylor, his findings have stood up to the test of time rather well, given the admittedly limited and often skewed information available to him. He did manage to cut through the chaff of propaganda, such as the Sun's despicable headline "The (Un)Truth." Hopefully the prosecutions going forward in the next few months of Duckenfield, Mackrell and others, hopefully including the unrepentant Bettison, will shed even more light on those who tried to lie and cover up the real reasons for the deaths of 96 totally innocent people who only wanted to see a football match. These people only want to stand up so that they can act at being the rebel. As soon as anyone says something to them they climb up their own ar5es. Until such time there are standing areas in top tier football stadiums, either sit down or feck off to somewhere like Bromley or Dulwich Hamlet. They'll welcome you.

Such as the now discredited Taylor report The Taylor report has not been discredited Taylor concluded that "policing on 15 April broke down" and "although there were other causes, the main reason for the disaster was the failure of police control. This still holds true. It is true to say that there were (now discredited) accusations that the behaviour of Liverpool fans centred around consumption of alcohol before the game and attempts to enter the ground without a ticket. Although Lord Taylor acknowledged that these aggravated the situation, they were secondary factors. Lord Taylor unequivocally stated that most of them were: "not drunk, nor even the worse for drink". He concluded that they formed an exacerbating factor and that police, seeking to rationalise their loss of control, overestimated the element of drunkenness in the crowd. Again I think his conclusions are still valid.

Trivial fact - Palace used to win 5-1 at least once a season, maybe next season? |

Still nothing like a mass generalisation to make a point. Club should have sorted this as they are an advantage to our team. Sadly only the lack of atmosphere will show the opportunity missed. Shame.
