It's all opening up nicely with these big teams going out.

If we can just take advantage of it and also get some luck then who knows

Fair play to Russia. Spain looked liked Sancho Panza today, riding on a one trick donkey.

This is typical. I just about get rid of the stitch I got from laughing at Germany, then Argentina get knocked out, and I'm still sore from laughing at them. And now this.

Tuesday night will be no laughing matter.

LOL

Spain is of course the only country ever to lose a penalty shoot-out to England. Suffrimiento!!

Talking of Palace they have a Delaney in their side.

He is putting in a shift as you would expect.

Who will go through? Dunno this one.

Can someone please tell me why the Danish player didn't get a red card when he was clearly the last man?

That Penalty in the Croatia Denmark game just now

How on earth is that not a red card?

I came on to ask the same thing. It seems like giving reds to the last man in this World Cup just isn’t happening.

The player’s face said it all after the foul, sat on the pitch waiting to get sent off with his team mates consoling him.

It is no longer a red card if the player made a genuine attempt to get the ball.

I think that is quite recent.

Apparently a definite attempt to play the ball - recent law change
