It's all opening up nicely with these big teams going out. If we can just take advantage of it and also get some luck then who knows

Fair play to Russia. Spain looked liked Sancho Panza today, riding on a one trick donkey. Edited by Booted Eagle (01 Jul 2018 6.06pm)

This is typical. I just about get rid of the stitch I got from laughing at Germany, then Argentina get knocked out, and I'm still sore from laughing at them. And now this.

Can someone please tell me why the Danish player didn't get a red card when he was clearly the last man?

It seems like giving reds to the last man in this World Cup just isn’t happening. The player’s face said it all after the foul, sat on the pitch waiting to get sent off with his team mates consoling him.

It is no longer a red card if the player made a genuine attempt to get the ball. I think that is quite recent.
