A Fulham mate said to me once that Roy is happier with a 1-1 rather than taking a risk that might win the game 2-1. I was expecting to see Benteke off and Sorloth on with 15 mins to go, but clearly not.

Sam, Pulis, and Roy all respect a point.

We had a manager who routinely took risks. I wonder what happened to him?

2 more points thrown away. Why not give Sorloth a run. What's the point buying him and leaving him on the bench when we struggle to score. Hope these dropped points and missed chances cost us later but I've a sneaking feeling they might. Much better 2nd. half but I think Roy got the formation/selections wrong.

We certainly improved with 3 man midfield. We're clearly better than Newcastle and 2 other sides. I'm confident we'll start up.

I am sure Roy knows what he doing but shouldnt Palace been looking to buy a striker who would slot straight into the team as well as an experienced CB. Seems we should have been going for a ready made striker as well as Amadou even if it meant paying over the odds. The Norweigan lad is great but perhaps for next year. Why also gamble on RLc’s fitness he should have had his loan terminated and another loan player brought in.

Mix of desperate defending, awful finishing and a blind ref (how did he miss Shelveys shirt pull?) cost us dearly today. On the positive side WH, PVA and JM played really well, Sakho is back and Wilf seemed back to his best in the second half. We need to pick up a few points against the 'harder' sides but we've done that before so it's not the end of the world today.

Really? Zaha left him on his ar*e twice today and beat with ease in the second half, as did PvA. If he wasn't quick he would have been completely destroyed second half.

Speaking of which, PvA had his best game in ages and was probably my MOTM after being woeful at West Ham. Sakho made a big difference to our game playing a few incisive through balls. Up top we just have no composure though. I hope Sorloth can provide that when he gets his chance.

We should have won it in the second half, but we didn't lose which is the main thing. Despite being off the boil for the last three games we've still picked up two draws.

Agree - thought he was very good today.

Another 2 points lost and we are probably going down .More injuries as well. And why the f*** you did not put on "your new signing" for the last 10 or 15 min.Benteke should have been off.He is vaxinated against scoring goals.
Next 4 or 5 matches wount give us many points more like 0
Should have won it but couldnt because of that useless BENTEKE!

You don't do make any sub unless you have to when you dominate the game like we did and create that amount of big big chances.
Should have won at least 5-1.

At end of the day it's a straight swap.

To be fair we were dominating them and making enough chances to bury them. Roy couldn't predict that we would miss so many. We had 21 shots - that's Man City sort of chance creating - and could not get more than one.

Benteke has been missing his chances all season.

Not necessarily - 12 more performances like that and we finish on 39 points - which could be enough.

You don’t get lucky like that every week. We got a pen that normally aren’t given to get us back into the game. Apart from that we’d have been dead and buried. If we’d have been up against better opposition it would have been a massacre.

We will be lucky to get a point out of our next 4 matches. Not good, we needed the 3 points today.
