Although I thought the ref had a reasonable match today, we could still do with some important decisions going our way. That handball from the backpass by Foster actually took the ball away from Wilf as he was getting up and would have been a tap in. It was as deliberate as you can get. As irritating as that was, at least we didn’t have Martin Atkinson today. Wow!
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

Totally agree, Benteke should be brought on later in the game if that's not working. We're too predictable with Beteke up front for the whole match. I think it would benefit him too, give him a reason to fight for his time on the pitch. Agree, but just because he is good in the air why can't we move the ball down the wings and get some crosses into him nearer the goal than yards away ?

West Ham to loose and then us to win against Bournemouth West Ham have City', Chelsea and Arsenal in a row. We need to put some distance between them and Swansea in the next few weeks, which will also push us above a couple of others with luck.

Not too much to get excited about today but the value of those sort of points become much clearer when you win at home the next week. Given those out today, particularly Cabaye, and then the disruption with Hennesey, the point is satisfactory. Just wish Benteke could snag one.

We did that once today (I think) and it was one of our better chances. He'd have scored if it wasn't for some brilliant defending by Johnny Evans.

Some difficult games for us though. Need six points from Bournemouth and Swansea. Watford and Leicester will be tough

I have to say, in some way I think Benteke hinders our attacking option. When we had Townsend and Zaha up front we had to think about things more and it made the play more exciting and now it's just hoofball to benteke again. We do play some pretty good stuff on the ground when we choose to We have no presence in the air up front without Benteke. It was the header he won (from the 1st. cross)last week which went to Andros for him to cross which resulted in L-C scoring. He could have had one today but I'm sure he'll score very soon. Andros today was poor and Wilf was hardly sighted after halftime. We definitely need another striker though.

What was important today was not to loose and keep an unbeaten run going. A draw takes us iff the bottom, a loss wouldnt have. We seem to play much more defensive away, which you'd expect, stay in the game and try and nick something. I reckon we'll be much more adventurous at home in thd next 2 games. I reckon were quite capable of getting 4 pts from next 2 home games, which would mean unbeaten on 6 games and hopefully out of the bottom 3. Yeah pigs might fly

A valuable point today and joy of seeing Brighton demolished by Liverpool.
