That's not the point. The issue is millions of Brits have emigrated to other countries, albeit mostly old Commonwealth and the EU. Is that really so different from a Pole or Czech or German moving to Britain. I've lived in the UK, the EU and North America and I think Brexit is a crying shame. Now we have all these separatist movements springing up when Europe has worked so hard since the horror of WWII to build bridges that have ended the endless cycle of nationalist conflicts. Britain has benefitted immensely from both emigration and immigration. As to Brits quickly fitting into Kiwi life, my recently arrived British neighbour still insists on wearing a West Ham shirt despite all my attempts at re-education. It still appears no skill is required. Originally posted by Rudi Hedman
Only it takes a Brit about as long as it takes to boil a kettle to mix in with Aussie and kiwi life whereas some immigrants here never will or intend to. And I bet a tiny minority of brits around the world arrive at their destination taking inferior pay. In fact they'll be taking their capital abroad with them whereas lots of immigrant earnings leave the U.K. We weren't aware that the EU intended to invite half of Europe over here to help stop pay covering a household. It was originally Western Europe. Now we have cheaper immigrants able to work without the need to train young brits. Then there is overcrowding and creating this spiral that is harder to break. We need immigration, just not an open door with no ways to turn the taps down.

It's just that the lifestyle isn't too dissimilar bar a few noticeable changes such as the beach and surfing and all that nonsense.

So who are the anti semites in the Labour Party? Complaining about treatment of Palestine does not count.

Why don't you find out and tell us? Ita noticeable once again that you haven't made any critique or comment on any policies, just used ad hominem attacks or playground guff.

"Hang the Tories" Effigies and all. Wow. Just wow. This is aside from the events that have had to be cancelled due to threats of violence from the left. Funny how the same didn't happen at the Labour conference. "Kinder, gentler politics" indeed.

Surprised they and their contributors can sit still long enough to type what with all that knee-jerking going on. The Tories? They'll get over it. Back in the day it wasn't effigies they had to worry about but bloody big bombs. You may have missed The Smiths reference btw or not.

In this day and age I wouldn't put it past a Guido contributor to have set the rig up himself, taken a photo, and sent it to their 'news'- guffaw - desk.
