I don't understand why Parish didn't sack him before Sunday unless it was to do with not having a signature from Woy. Result aside the formation and performance showed progress so if we'd have drawn 1-1 or scraped a 0-1 would he have been given another week at the helm? All sorts of weirdness going on

Supposedly the result yesterday was academic, FdB may of ruffled too many feathers and new managers were approached supposedly around late August. Think the Swansea game broke the tulip stem.

As my last posts said (which you conveniently ignored) you would have let Frank have gone 10 games without scoring or gaining any points and only then have sacked him?

I did reply you just missed it...

here it is.

So to be clear here - you are saying you would have given him 10 games without scoring or picking up a point and only then of sacked him?

Only if we had got something from the Southampton game and with a half-decent performance. It would be the two or three games after Man U, Man City and Chelsea that would have been the deciders.

This is a joke of a post. show some respect for the man who has transformed this club you fool.

I think its time Parish stopped dining out on the 'I saved the club' fallback card

yep that was years ago just look at the performance in PL and anyone with any understanding can see that over the years SP has promoted himself to his level of incompetence as far as running a PL football club is concerned!

There's no room for sentimentality in business they say and that's exactly why we're likely to have problems in the long run. Puncheon captain coz he's one of our own, Freedman director of football coz he's a past legend, now Woy coz he's born in Croydon and previously played for Palace, Bright the same, etc.

If we do have success then at least we can say we'd have a lot of identity doing it!

Don't forget to add SP to that list and you can guess the outcome next May!

All I will say is that one doesn't sack one's manager after 4 games based on results alone.

I'm inclined to agree, but sinking ship results sometimes bring about hasty decisions.

One person's "Hasty decisions" is another person's "Firm and decisive action".

At the end of the day, Parish was pilloried for sticking with Pardew for so long, now he is criticised for the early removal of FDB.Maybe in time, supporters will understand why action was taken to remove FDB of his duties.
