After the banning. The only person I said at the time who should be banned was Parchmore. I'm going to leave you chaps to get outraged at strangers being banned from a football forum, I'm going to get on with my day. Have fun.

Glad my kids weren't taught by you. Please show me one post where I said the artist formerly known as bubble wrap should be banned? Parchmore, yes, the bloke's disgusting, bubble wrap, no. So more facts and less faux outrage please. I'll be honest, I don't know what Mr Wrap did or didn't say, but one of the two chaps that was banned continued to provoke everyone and the mods (I imagine it's because he didn't really care if he got banned and he believed he was making a point...his call though). Whereas I didn't think the person in question here persisted to wind anyone up.

I'm pretty sure the poster in question drew parallels between abusing children and homosexuality, banter or not it was out of order and I don't think it's possible to condone such comments.

Something about fencing them in for safety reasons with kids around. Edited by Rudi Hedman (01 Aug 2017 10.30am)

Yep, poor taste and not good but it's an extreme reaction to ban someone for that. I have seen far more extreme comments than that in my time on this site.....but there you go...some groups are more equal than others to some.

As its in the public eye I'm posting that Bubble Wrap has made an apology and explanation on the BBS at 11am today in the 'BBC documentary-Alfie vs homophobia' thread and the part about us being blown out of proportion I agree with. Suddenly we have a homophobia problem at Palace. Yes there is homophobia in society and football but what's happening here is our minor part is being overblown and you'll probably find any chanting of 'bum' or 'holding hands' carries on by hardly anyone or no one and it'll be other clubs who will have the spotlight on them or individual's faces in the press the day after a to game. It was barely anyone last season btw. I only recall hearing the song twice or so through the whole season. But I'm sure plenty will continue as if it was more.
