I'm coming round to the idea of Silva a bit, maybe the mention of names like Monk making me think that. Apart from Monk the threat of real s***e seems to be receding, but any of them is a risk compared with Allardyce - with him you were in no doubt about what you were getting.

We are Palace - used to ups and downs. Sam has coached, demanded and got results. Part of this must be to know your men, which are improving and which are getting worse (and why in each case). The aim has to be to identify the direction that each addition to (and retention in) the Palace Family is going. We know that Mr Silva is looking for a good home, and hopefully will justify his hire. Oh for an announcement at the Beer Festival. COYP.

I too was reliably informed by an unreliable source Willo/Trolley that he was going to have :-

A very busy time for me out campaigning both in the local elections and now the General Election.Accordingly my time on HOL will be somewhat restricted - I hear yelps of delights from the multitudes on here !
In any event I generally refrain from participating in any political debates on here for as sure as night follows day they would disintegrate into tedious WILLO threads where risible and ridiculous allegations are made against me and of course the debate would focus on me rather than the subject under discussion.
Rest assured I shall be campaigning with great vim and vigour for my beloved Tories !

Unfortunately he is still on HOL pissing most of us off.!!!

Mate, I don't exactly remember but, looking at what I wrote, I probably quoted your post to save me words where we agreed. All's cool and we agree anyway. I think Silva would be a good choice.
