Mancini, if that is even a remote possibility.

2nd i'd take Jokanovic - he has done amazing things at Fulham.

3rd would be Gary Monk. Something about him I like.

I'd take Marco Silva, Luka played with him at Olympiakos before both came here in January and says he enjoyed playing under him. Hulls home record with him speaks for itself, he actually made a fight of it unluke Mike Phelan was going to before he was sacked. Could be the next pochettino if we're lucky.

If all the above didn't convince you then consider the moral of the Johnny Cash song 'a boy named Sue'. This is where a man hunts down his absent father in order to punish him for giving him a name which has led to a lifetime of taunting and bullying. Finally, he finds the old man in a bar and gives him a beating. His dad explains that he named him Sue because he knew that the boy would be teased, and that he'd have to learn to stand up for himself as a result, a vital thing in life. The boy understands.

If you've spent your whole life with a name which sounds like rhyming slang for spunk, you're going to have developed a certain inner steel not found in many men. That alone is a strong selling point.

Daftest analogy of the week

Hodgson, Pearson, McLaren, Coleman etc

If any of those become the new Palace manager, then I`m off.
For heaven sake. It have to be possible to find someone who actually can take this club forward and nit the other way around-
Marco Silva is young and probably one who can do the job.So is also Mancini.

But theses w***ers on top of the page...NOPE.

Employing Hodgson would show a massive lack of ambition by the board in my opinion, I'd still back him and the team but he isn't the answer either short or long term.

We need stability and a manager that'll be here for 3/4/5 + years, not one that is nearly 70 and will be looking to potentially retire in the next couple of years.

Parish will have his criteria as always and it will be a question of who ticks most boxes.

Let's NOT forget we are not a top club so certain managers will be out of reach. But we are in London and in the PL and certain managers are out of work.I really think that whoever is appointed will have a tough job on his hands.

For f***s Sake (and that's not recommending Glenn for the job !) so we settle down to actually enjoying a summer knowing we have a manager who will make us a mid table side and we wont have a relegation battle to look forward to. That lasted 10 days. Goes with the territory of supporting this football club I suppose, so can't be surprised. Silva ? Needed a result in his last 3 games and lost 2 nil at home to a side already relegated, 4 nil to us and 7-1 at home to a team that had nothing to play for (ok they were already down, but still). Motivation is obviously not his strong point. Lucien Favre, Jaap Stam or Jokanovic for me but what the f*** do I know. f***ing disappointed about BFS.

Roy has done well with mid table teams that need stabalising, which is exactly what we need. He just fails when it comes to winning things and achieving success. He's certainly not my first choice, but if he is appointed, I will stand by him, as should everyone else until he gets found out.

Parish needs to consider your feelings from the other side of the world.
