He'd better pass it or it's the return of Chamakh.

Not too excited by this....another fading star looking for a last payday. Got a feeling he'll spend more time on the treatment table than on the pitch.

Sincerely hope I'm wrong.

Flamini can cover LB aswell. If I honest I'd prefer jedinak maybe sentimental. Flamini will be a useful squad player and be a better option than mutch. Can you see flamini as a regular starter or not?

Judging by what he's trying to do with his energy company I'm not sure money is the be-all and end-all. Not that he will be playing for free.

Player who wins a tackle like Jedinak but a better passer. Which fits in with what club are now looking for from a defensive midfielder.
Love Jedi but this is an upgrade. A guy with a big-game mentality and experience behind him.

SE25 is turning into the French quarter.

Yes indeed, let's hope you are wrong. He has the potential to be a useful signing at our level and if he really wanted another big payday I'm sure China or the US would have obliged. Far better than no midfield signing at all and much better than filling that last place with Williams or (the forever injured) Chamakh. In terms of skill, especially passing, he's an upgrade on Jedinak.

If he helps us achieve anything close to that then I guess he'll be considered an upgrade.

Do you mean the unbeaten run or the energy reduction? ;-)

I can, if he stays fit and proves better than the competition for a DM spot.

I can see him as a semi regular starter.

I mean, as in the better the opposition the more likelyhood he'll start. Then for lesser opposition he'll be rested.

So say against Bournemouth we might play Ledley/ Mcarthur but against City Flamini will come in.

Obviously subjective based on what system we play. But I doubt I recon he'll get more game time when everyone is fit than Jedi did.

Although I'm certainly not knocking Jedi, just think we'll change our formation slightly this year and Flamini will be a key part.

IMO

Depends what turns up. If we get yet another ex Arse lump then I can see him ignominiously released at the first opportunity. Alternatively, if the Flamini we know presents, then the question is: who will dislodge him?
