Lewes got in on the basis that they have equal pay for their men and women apparently, which is quite easy when both are on a flat rate of next to sod all. We'd have to pay a women 35k a week to not play for a few years and then pack her off to Canada to achieve that, amongst a whole load of equally impossible scenarios. Didn't ours finish top of their league too? Yeovil stayed in despite not winning a single game and running up 350k of debts in the process of doing so. No doubt Man U will be protected from relegation for forever too.

Sweet Fanny Adams strikes again. Then again, I'm saddled with the Useless S*** Federation. Over here, the men get paid exponentially more than the women and win absolutely nothing.

So much for merit. Well at least that takes care of this year's Bruce Grobelaar Prize for Bringing Football into Disrepute. Edited by chateauferret (28 May 2018 8.45pm)

Charlton got there on merit, The issue we have is with Lewes and West Ham, who have not been as good as us for a few seasons now, At West Ham away, CPLFC Loyal outnumbered the Home fans and it was pretty close at Lewes away too, I know its modern football, But it stinks, Football should be about Quality and not money, Saying that we had a very good bid and reached all criteria , To be honest the West Ham decision is a complete farce, No wonder they got the Olympic Stadium, to Jump Two divisions to the Premier is a disgrace not just to Womens Football, but to Football in General, Nothing the FA Say can justify this.

Manchester United can create a team for the first time in over a decade and it walks into the second division? They’ve done nothing to support women’s football in recent times and should be punished for it.

I've just set up a petition to hopefully highlight the issue to the government - as is the done thing these days - it's worth a shot! [Link]

Further Official Statement From Crystal Palace Ladies FC Crystal Palace Ladies F.C. would like to sincerely thank all of those who have shown such support for The Club following the decision by The FA last Monday, in respect of their application for Tier Two status. The support, from across football, but notably from the incredibly loyal Palace fans, has been hugely encouraging and gratefully received. In respect of the decision not to award Crystal Palace Ladies F.C. Tier Two status, following what has, initially, been acknowledged by The FA as a "strong" application, The Club are considering an appeal. However, as should be the case, this will be launched based on fact and merit. To this end, relevant feedback, in relation to areas of the application that were deemed as weaker than a number of successful clubs, is required. To date, such feedback has not been received and as such the 14 days during which an appeal can be lodged, has not been triggered. The Club are in contact with The FA in respect of this and aim to have an update in the coming days. End Of Statement
