Or maybe build new stands that can be easily expanded at a later date should the need arises? A lot of new stadiums are built with the foundations in place for easier and cheaper expansion.

The bigger the capacity, the lower the prices. Steve Parish has already stated this is his plan and West Ham are doing it right now. 40,000 stadium is perfect.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Selhurst Park redevelopment' by Penge Eagle Supposed to be an announcement this summer about plans for the Main Stand. That came from Steve Browett. It seems clear however that there are considerable hurdles to overcome.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Selhurst Park redevelopment' by Penge Eagle I have been wondering, it's rather quiet on the topic. With the TV money pooring in and a conservative approach on players coming in this should be top priority for the club I think.

I suspect if you asked Parish it would be Academy Priority 1 then Main Stand a very close second. Fact is you only have to look at the length of time it took Liverpool to get their new stand to get some idea how difficult it is on real-estate like ours. It is irritating but entirely understandable why Parish doesn't want to release any sort of plans until he knows they can happen. Lots of clubs have fallen foul of this in the past; best example? Bristol City. Released epic plans for a new stadium, it couldn't happen so they redeveloped Ashton Gate to look a bit like many other ideate-kit sort of grounds.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Selhurst Park redevelopment' by Penge Eagle Sainsbury's own the car Park and there are a number of legal issues to over come apparently. I'm sure Parish and co are as eager to move things along as anyone.

What plans has Parish released? What images? Post some links. The quickly knocked up CPP graphic was there as a response to Spurs plans for CPP when they were after the Olympic Stadium.
