Probably not but Gomis was already cup-tied. Personally I think the Gomis deal is dead, £9 million too much and his alleged behaviour/comments in the press will have frightened us off.

Gestede is more likely He appears a better team player and Blackburn need the money from a sale so are playing hard to get best price. They know that when we progress today if he plays his value decreases to us. Gomis - Wondering what the fuss is about. Very lazy style and not threatening Blackburn defence.

I too am watching the game and Gomis is suspect at close control does not appear to be working that hard and his one shot was weak I would not pay 9mil for that ! I too am watching the game and Gomis is suspect at close control does not appear to be working that hard and his one shot was weak I would not pay 9mil for that ! On the other hand Gestede has not put a foot wrong as he is on the bench !

Fact is we haven't got enough good options up front and still desparately need another goalscorer. We only have Gayle with any current form and Premier League scoring history.

Personally I wouldn't buy either gomis or gedeste but I'm not in charge of palace.

For me, the fees mooted are to much for what we're buying from what I've seen.

The fact Swansea are will to play ball after selling bony and having chased gomis for over a year before he signed speaks volumes.

Also somewhere in the region of 6m for gedeste to me seems OOT...I'd rather keep murray and I don't think he's near PL standard either,
