I must admit....I've never liked QPR. It goes back all the way to Venables jacking us for them.

I had a right sulk when they got promoted.

i wouldn't be over disappointed at not spending 8M on a centre back. There are a lot of good ones around and we've already got two. In a way the 8M can be used for far better effect, and just get some back up for Dann and Delaney without spending that much.
Its the attack that needs a serious upgrade, not the defence which did brilliantly last year.

Any one seen the Sheffield United centre back--Harry Maquire(sp)said to be a good player and wanting to play in the PL?

Never fancied caulker anyway, Cardiff shipped goals, Damo, Dann and gabbidon proved themselves at premier league level, this fella was part of a defence that failed big time, for 8 mill I'm sure we can do better.

A CB is only as good as the man next to him.

Read this morning that QPR interested in Dawson after his talks stalled with Hull (The Sun). Also mentioned that he would be to partner Rio - no mention of Caulker. Harry does like to resign players and the fact he's looking at a CB could mean that Caulker signing for us is inevitable. I hope so anyway.

Said it before, it's the Darren Bent saga again. All Palace can offer is first team football under a top defensive manager who will improve him no end, we can't offer glamour and sackfuls of cash.....let's see what he chooses.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

The Darren Bent saga again? I wouldn't have called Ian Holloway a top defensive manager

Slack jaw 'arry still reckons he'll want to play with Rio.
