To a team like Luton at this moment, we are like Chelsea. If we actually do achieve prem football...sadly the likes of Clyne, Moses, Routledge, Zaha, Scannell, Gordon, Salako, Shaw, will find it hard to be given early precious time on our pitch, especially if we are struggling. Chelsea have become what they have, due to trying to compete with Man.U's monopoly. We should not be arguing with chelski, he is only a fan like us, I'm sure deep down he does not love the situation of knowing his team should thrash every club out of the top six.
Deep down I'd rather play Champions league games every week because the excitement generated by those games far outways the premier league normally.
The Champions league is the biggest fish to catch, so naturally interest will be more focused, no doubt the next step is an actual Champions league, it's progression and natural. Your Chelsea is your drug, much as Palace is ours, media coverage etc adds more excitement and I understand (having recently played them ourselves) how Stoke can have the opposite effect!
Yes it's is. However I am sure palace fans recall the play off final in Cardiff with great fondness and high emotion. To me that's why we love football. It's is like a drug, and no I don't do them, with the highs and lows. If I am really honest I actually wish that every true football fan can experience the high I experienced in Munich.

I think most have - although relative to the current level your team is at. For example at the moment I'd rather be in the championship than premier league as its much more competitive - with most teams being able to beat one another on their day. Having said that the high of going up would be brilliant and I remember all our promotion experiences and play off wins and the highs were fantastic. A bit of a contradiction I know but I love the high of promotion more than the cold reality of getting stuffed each week once we achieve it.

thats what all football fans have in common and its why we love it. Those moments when we are in deep pain only for a goal to lift us to extreme joy- truely amazing!!

Interesting to compare Zaha and McEachran yesterday. Leagues apart.
didnt watch game so couldnt say but mceachran plays holding midfielder and zaha wide left or right, slightly different and zaha playing in a team well on top but zaha is a very good player, apart from his temperament. And Man utd dont spend over the odds on a player unless they see something they lke

Their positions aside, Zaha was the best player on the pitch, McEachran was amongst the worst.

Absolutely. I still can't decide between him and Moses if I'm honest.

I think they are slightly different types of players. time will tell. Zaha's temprament could let him doen but if anyone can deal with that Ferguson can. Moses has been impressive for us this season. He has played more than I first though but deserves too. Information I have is that he has amazing talent but then people are saying that about Zaha. Jury's out!!

Where has this thing about Zaha's temperament come from? He gets lumps kicked out of him every game, and carries on with his game 90% of the time. I've seen nothing to suggest his temperament is any better or worst than Victor's.
I don't think the jury's out at all, we've seen Wilfried play 100+ games now, we know he's good enough, the same way we knew Victor was good enough.

He has a bad temperament. I watched him play against Derby (yes I have actuallty been to see you lot lol). He was brilliant for 20 mins then switched sides and got kicked. He then had a penalty shout which he didnt get and decided to throw a strop. For 20 mins he moaned at the derby player, the linesman, the ref and even the palace bench. He was inaffective until the last ten minutes when he came alive again.

Victor used to hate taking a whack to begin with.
I would say that Victor is a better finisher and has the ability to shoot from distance. I haven't seen Wilf do that.
Victor learned his Premier League trade at Wigan which is actually a good place to do that. Martinez always tries to play the right way. Wilf has the biggest of stages next season. I'm sure Ferguson will nurture him properly though.
Even though I don't like Chelsea or Man U I do hope both Moses and Zaha are big successes because they deserve to be.

I have always been amazed by how calm Zaha is when having lumps kicked off him all game. He has maybe once or twice reacted badly, but I honestly can't remember the last time he did this. A very calm, well adjusted young lad.
I'd rather be a FREE MAN in my grave than living as a PUPPET or a SLAVE
