Yep, it's all academic anyway. We just have to go with it. I do a three mile walk most days now....which is weird as I'm probably out more regularly than before. Sunbathing and slothing around in parks in early April went up but then every day is Sunday in the 1980’s since March 23rd.

Obviously welcome support from other nations when we are in need but, in the last 24 hours we have accepted PPE support from Turkey and ventilators from Germany. When did Britain become a charity case? Is it really charity? As there must be a mad scramble from all over to secure said items, I would imagine we would take from wherever. I assume also we are paying for these items and not been given them?

I’ve been chastised for criticising the government on here and ‘making it political’ but this lockdown is very much The Right Thing To Do right now and I fully support it. I hate not being able to go out. Hate not being able to see my family, my mates, even going into the bloody office. But you know what? I can suck it up and take one for the team and the country. Dan

Dan Haha I don’t miss it that much! Still fortunate enough to be able to work from home and our work hasn’t slowed down too much yet. That said I’m in the garden with a beer right now - I think today is Sunday right? Yeah we were meant to be in Sri Lanka right now but there’s more important things going on than our honeymoon right now.

Being retired I never know which day of the week it is ( although wife puts this down to senility!). Hopefully when all this is over, a belated honeymoon will be enjoyed. Hope you got refunded, enjoy the beer

I heard a doctor on the wireless the other day saying he Hopes these extra pop up hospitals are the biggest white elephants ever. I second that no matter about the finance. If they are fully needed then we really are in the doo doo.

Especially as the London Nightingale needs 4,000 staff to operate at maximum capacity and there is no way on earth that we can find that many or even anywhere near that number

My only observation is that BJ was not rushed to a Nightingale hospital, (having swevered his Private Healthcar options) , but rushed to his own ward on an NHS/private unit. meanwhile, proper people are dying.

Bit of a no-win situation there. How much praise would he have got for going into a private hospital?
