My point though was that it should be at least £40m upfront + a guaranteed additional 40m paid in instalments. Personally like you and most Palace fans I don't want to see the club sell, but I also recognise that if a club offers the price we asked then it becomes hard to stop Wilf from moving. I really do think we should stick to our value and not be bullied into accepting less. Maybe we should borrow Liverpool's negotiating team?

Unfortunately the irony is that we'd probably end up paying them £30m for the loan.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

If I go on strike I don't get paid so I would assume if it's not an official strike he wouldn't either . Otherwise they would all go on strike every time they throw a strop or want a few weeks off. This is the real world we live in ! You don't work you don't get paid . How do you know they got paid ? And it worked out well for them didn't it.

I watched that Sunderland till die documentary on Netflix (Well worth a watch by the way) and the owner was pulling his hair out with Rodwell because he had a 45k per week contract with no relegation clause to lower the wage, and Rodwell refused to agree to terminate his contract or be sold, he insisted he would run his contract down.
He would literally come in (didnt turn up some days), train with the kids then go home and he was getting his full wage.
He made something like 1 appearance between September 2017 and August 2018 when he went to Blackburn.

So he wasn't on strike then he was still turning up for work ( well most days ) from my recollection of a strike is when you refuse to turn up . Wilf has supposedly have stated he will never train again with CP . And a big supposedly.

oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton.

Yeah, i mean, he refused to play in matches but did go to training. slightly different i guess.
Not a great situation to be in either way, hopefully it gets resolved in one way or another

I hope he does not strike for his own sake. Take the dick head at West Ham. He is toxic, he wants away to China with no club in Europe being linked because he's greedy. What's stopping Wilf's brother in two years, if he leaves saying that China's calling offering £250k a week. He's then known to have striked whilst at Palace,(if he does), would anyone ever trust him. Anout and about had previous and others have tried to force s move. Not in his interest to strike.

I wish Benteke would go on strike.

Its his brother thats really pissed me off in this situation. He isnt Wilfs agent, he has no right to be calling up Sky sports talking all that $hit he was talking.
I read a story somewhere that Tottenham chose not to pursue Wilf not because of the potential cost but because of the team he has around him.. says alot really if correct.

Yea know what you mean, I was thinking a lot about that one . I can't see him coming out with all that s***e without wilfs permission! If I was away and my brother started spreading s***e about me I wouldn't be happy about it and would make him make a public apology ( or kick his head in ) , smacks of good timing ? I don't know. He does have a posse of what looks like body guards but are prob just klingons or wannabe gangsters.

I have found myself questioning whether the guy is even his brother! His surname is not Zaha and he presents himself as a French football agent in one of his Companies House registrations ....
