Youre right. The HOL is more strict on the use of language and insults and in that sense it is more proper, but the BBS has been hijacked by a left wing clique who think they have a right to dictate who can post. That makes it a very unpleasant place sometimes and standing up to them is the reason I have been banned make no mistake.
What irritates me most is that the BBS moderators know full well what is going on and do nothing. They would rather portray me as the "problem" and do nothing.
It is partly because the majority of them share the same political leanings I suspect. If you can't be impartial and mature minded then you shouldn't be a mod' in my book.

The Judge

I don't go on the BBS.
I have heard of the legendary "Trolley" - suspect he has achieved such status as he is one of the "Left wing clique".

Anyway, this thread is not about the BBS !!!!

You are correct Willo. Let's get back to arguing about who is the least worst party and why UKIP is a force in politics despite it's obvious shortcomings.

We will see what "Force" UKIP are on 7th May !
They will come under scrutiny in full glare of a rigorous election campaign.

About 4 seats worth of force.

One of the seats is 'Thanet South' where Farage is the UKIP candidate. The seat is held by the Conservatives with a majority of approx 7,600 !
The Conservative candidate used to be deputy leader of UKIP !

We shall see,

I can't believe that Farage could look any worse on TV than Milliband did v Paxman.

It wasn't Paxman's best. He gave Cameron an easy time of it and basically just insulted Miliband. As a result Miliband didn't come out of it that badly.

Farage will revel in taking part and will outperform everyone I think. They look to have hit a ceiling in the polls though. They're a very polarising party so that was inevitable.

Hardly a vintage year though is it.
I'd happily bet a few of the finer brains here would do better tbh.

Somebody on here mentioned that Cameron kept mentioning the economy. All you will get from Farage is the EU and immigration. What are their policies on the economy, NHS,Education, Law and Order etc etc ? Will they stand up to intense scrutiny ? Will Farage be their lone spokesman in the election campaign or will they dare to unleash some of the others other than their current two MPs Carswell and Reckless? Fascinating !

You're not wrong, but people will just see his confidence, swagger and jovial nature. It doesn't matter to them that it's a one policy party. But like I said they've hit a ceiling as lots of people won't vote for them out of principle.

I'm sure Farage will do just fine speaking about the economy. After all, being a former stockbroker he does have some first-hand experience on the matter as opposed to the others who are just career politicians.

Dear 'Willo the Blue'.
If WE are still in 'austerity' then why oh why has this not affected the rich?

(No reference to Farage please).

So are there any specific examples of ethnic minorities playing the race card?

There plenty that you can google; however the two that rankle me the most are:

1 From a lecturer at Brixton college, albeit a few years ago, you can't be racist if you are black due to the oppression [sic slavery] by the white man. Sorry but no.

2 A recent personal one was my 6 year old son was told by a boy that they could not be friends because he is white. That was pretty difficult to explain as concepts like racism and truly evil don't exist in his world.

I hate people who discriminate grrrr!
